We are looking for a Toll Equipment Technician I to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of tolling equipment and associated systems. This position will be Full-Time and Onsite in Pompano Beach, Florida.
Employees are expected to work onsite 4 days per week. Initial training will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the regular schedule Monday through Thursday, 2:00 PM to 1:00 AM.

What You’ll Do
- Read and interpret complex schematics, wiring diagrams, parts diagrams, and technical manuals
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and perform repairs or adjustments
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections of tolling equipment and supporting systems
- Utilize diagnostic and testing tools including volt/amp meters, oscilloscopes, frequency counters, network analyzers, and hand tools
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot toll equipment hardware, software, and networking components
- Configure network device IP settings, toll equipment software, and RF device configurations
- Perform cable terminations and troubleshoot network connectivity issues
- Conduct daily inspections of tolling locations and associated infrastructure
- Install, maintain, and monitor CCTV cameras and network video recorders (NVRs)
- Remove, repair, and replace damaged equipment as required
- Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment at new and existing tolling sites
- Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately and on time
- Coordinate with senior technicians on complex equipment failures and repairs
- Follow written and verbal instructions while maintaining a strong commitment to safety
- Support additional maintenance and operational activities as assigned
What You'll Need
Required:
- Valid Class E Driver’s License with the ability to maintain driving privileges
- Knowledge of electronic systems, components, and troubleshooting methodologies
- Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, technical documentation, and maintenance manuals
- Familiarity with Windows, Unix, and Linux operating environments
- Understanding of basic computer networking principles and hardware troubleshooting
- Experience using common electronic diagnostic and test equipment
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work safely at heights up to 30 feet
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Availability for on-call support outside normal business hours
- Willingness and ability to travel overnight when required
Preferred:
- Exposure to fiber optic systems, RF systems, CCTV systems, UPS systems, or facilities maintenance
- Experience with maintenance management systems
- Experience configuring network devices and IP-based equipment
- Previous technical, electronics, telecommunications, field service, or transportation systems experience
- CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent technical training
- Aerial Lift Vehicle Operation Certification
- Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic Certification
- OSHA 10-Hour Safety Certification
Physical Demands
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
- Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

$23 per hourThe pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
