About the Role
As a Test Engineer/Business Analyst, you’ll support Agile delivery teams working on enterprise analytics and operational systems for a government customer. You’ll translate business needs into clear requirements and test scenarios, helping teams validate functionality and prepare solutions for release.
You’ll collaborate with technical teams, business partners, and stakeholders to coordinate testing, resolve issues, and communicate delivery needs. Your work will include validating reporting outputs, analytics workflows, and enterprise data solutions, including Databricks-based environments.
What You'll Do
- Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios.
- Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, release validation, and other Agile delivery activities.
- Conduct functional, integration, and regression testing across enterprise applications and analytics solutions.
- Track defects, coordinate issue resolution, and support operational readiness.
- Facilitate communication among technical teams, stakeholders, and business partners.
- Validate reporting outputs, analytics workflows, and enterprise data platform solutions, including Databricks-based reporting and analytics environments.
- Maintain Agile documentation, process artifacts, and testing deliverables.
What You'll Bring
- A bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in business analysis, QA/test engineering, or Agile delivery roles.
- Experience supporting enterprise software delivery in Agile environments.
- Experience creating user stories and test scenarios and supporting release activities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with testing methodologies and issue-tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to Databricks through analytics platforms, reporting validation, testing, or enterprise data environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting analytics, reporting, or cloud-based platforms.
- Experience validating reporting outputs, data workflows, or enterprise analytics systems.
- Familiarity with enterprise data lakes, data warehouses, or modern data ecosystems.
- Scrum or Agile certifications.
- Experience supporting modernization or transformation initiatives.
Compensation
At Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market.
The anticipated compensation range for this role is $84,000 to $93,000 USD annually, with a midpoint of $88,500 USD annually. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. The final compensation and job title may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications.
Location and Work Arrangement
This role is hybrid in Camp Springs, Maryland. Candidates must live in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area and work onsite 1 to 2 days per week, depending on team needs. You’ll collaborate in person on onsite days and work independently on remote days.
Work Authorization
This position supports a government customer. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders) and satisfy all customer-specific eligibility requirements as a condition of employment. Candidates who require visa sponsorship or work under temporary employment authorization, including F-1 OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, H-1B, TN, E-3, L-1, or similar visa classifications, are not eligible for this role.
