Business Customer Service Advisor – 6-Month Contract | Hybrid
£13.50 per hour | Weekly pay
Locations: Stockport OR Leeds - 3 days per week in the office and 2 days working from home
You must live within a reasonable commute of our British Gas Stockport Newbridge Lane office OR New Bridge House, 2 Leeds City Office Park, Leeds, ideally no more than 30 minutes’ travel.
PH Jones is looking for a confident, organised and customer-focused Business Customer Service Advisor to join our Operations Support Team on a 6-month contractor assignment via Adecco.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in delivering a high standard of service and is comfortable working closely with customers, clients, office colleagues and field operations teams. You’ll help support the delivery of Service & Repair and Installation contracts for our Social Housing clients, ensuring work is planned, recorded and progressed accurately against agreed service levels.
Key Details
- Contract: 6-month contractor assignment via Adecco
- Pay: £13.50 per hour, paid weekly through online timesheets
- Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm
- Working pattern: Hybrid, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home
- Interviews: Monday 28th September to Friday 2nd October
- Expected start date: Monday 26th October
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play an important part in keeping our customer and client operations running smoothly. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Managing daily email communications with internal teams, customers and clients.
- Logging new customer calls accurately into the relevant systems.
- Booking customer appointments and supporting engineer scheduling to maximise productivity.
- Keeping internal systems updated with clear, accurate and timely information.
- Identifying chargeable opportunities and applying the correct charges to work orders.
- Supporting weekly and monthly valuation preparation.
- Completing a range of administrative tasks to support smooth operational delivery.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, professional and comfortable working in a busy office or contact centre environment. You’ll be a strong fit if you have:
- Previous administration experience within an office, customer service or contact centre setting is essential
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A confident and professional approach when dealing with customer and client enquiries.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to keep information accurate across systems.
- The ability to prioritise workload and adapt when priorities change.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- A positive, team-focused attitude and willingness to support colleagues where needed.
