Bring your energy to Aggreko as Technician 2 – Power, HVAC, or Temperature Control based in Mobile, AL.

What you’ll do:

• Be based out of our Mobile, AL service center, with the opportunity to work overtime and weekends and potential for travel.

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil free air compressors.

• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, and handle the repairs.

• Work either on your own or teamed up with another technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites.

You are:

• A High School diploma or GED.

• 3+ years of experience working on power generators, HVAC, or temperature control equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

• Experience calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and understanding schematics.

• A valid driver’s license; depending on customer requirements, you may also be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or a valid DOT medical card.

• The ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75lbs.

Other essential job requirements  

• Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts

• Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices

• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level

• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders

• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
