À propos de ce poste Technical Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Specialist chez Beaverprocess
The Opportunity
This role is for a technical problem solver with a commercial mindset.
At Beaver Process Equipment, we design and manufacture high-performance slurry piping, hose, and valves for the mining industry. Our customers come to us for our premium products, and stay for our specialist expertise and trusted solution delivery. Your job is to be the technical sales engine room — combining technical problem-solving with commercial smarts to deliver solutions that win orders and keep clients coming back.
Operating out of our Perth HQ, you will turn client needs into the right technical solution every day. You'll work alongside our Site Support Managers to turn major slurry piping issues into upgrades that take the pain away. You will be part of a respected Australian company with a strong track record and future growth plans.
What You’ll Own
You will own the technical problem solving and solution design for our clients. You will be the technical sales interface between what our clients' need and our site support, product, customer operations, engineering & manufacturing teams.
Your accountabilities will include:
-
Technical Discovery: Understand the client's requirements, what they are trying to achieve, and any specific problem areas.
-
Application Engineering & Solution Design: Evaluate application parameters and system design, collaborate with internal experts to configure and engineer the right solution.
-
Quote & Proposal Creation: Prepare technical and commercial proposals that are technically correct and deliver the right commercial outcome (sales, margin, conversion, repeat orders).
-
Grow Accounts & Sales: Build client trust to become their 'go-to' contact, finding opportunities to expand our technical scope with each site and drive repeat orders.
-
Build Client Trust: Become their trusted technical partner for all slurry piping requirements, always delivering on what we promise.
-
Site Support Collaboration: Work closely with the Site Support Managers to turn slurry piping problems into upgrade solutions that work, including our innovative SlurryIQ program.
-
Drawing & Specification Review: Review customer piping layouts, isometric drawings, GA drawings, and piping standards to verify technical requirements and ensure our solution works out-of-the-box.
-
Internal Teamwork: Work closely with sales, product support, customer operations, engineering, and manufacturing to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.
Who You Are
You are a technical problem solver who enjoys being a trusted part of the team. You take pride in getting the spec right the first time.
Character Traits
-
Technical Problem Solver: Wants to understand what the client needs, the best technical solution to deliver it.
-
Commercially Minded: Focuses on the commercial outcome for the business—winning client inquiries, optimizing margins, and protecting the long-term reputation and growth of the company.

-
Collaborative Team Player: Dedicated to winning as a team and providing genuine technical expertise and real value to the client by working seamlessly across different roles and departments.

Mechanical Technical Experience: Strong mechanical technical experience and/or expertise, including ability to work out technical problems from first principles and own experience.
Likely Candidate Backgrounds:
-
Industry Technical Sales Peer: Experience in an internal technical sales or specialist role in a business with mechanical products in the mineral processing industry (or similar).
-
"Off-the-Tools" Trade Specialist: Trade-qualified with a hands-on site background (e.g., Mechanical Fitter, Boilermaker, Pipefitter, or Site Technician) looking to leave heavy physical work for a technical sales career path.
-
Early-Mid Career Mechanical Engineer: Junior to mid-level Mechanical Engineer seeking a commercially aligned, problem-solving role with multiple career progression pathways.

Technical & Commercial Ownership: Focus on creating the right technical and commercial solution for each inquiry.

Strong Company with Global Ambitions: Join an agile, highly successful business executing an exciting long-term international expansion strategy. You get the speed and culture of a market challenger with the career trajectory of a global business.
-
Outstanding Culture & Collaborative Team: We only win as a team, we rely on many smart, capable people inside our team to deliver every single order to our clients.
-
Strong Fixed Salary: Focus on solving technical problems for your clients, rather than trying to chase a complex sales incentive plan no one understands.
