cBEYONData + SMX is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our team in support of a Modernized Data Science Platform for a Federal customer. This role will support IT transformation and modernization efforts by designing, building, and delivering data-driven solutions that connect business requirements with scalable technical capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience managing large technical data analytics development teams. This role requires a blend of technical leadership, data engineering expertise and the ability to work closely with business and technical stakeholders in a Federal/DoD environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of 10+ developers and functional resources to deliver end-to-end Enterprise Business Analytics solution.
- Work closely with the client on designing the Enterprise Analytics Vision and Strategy.
- Assign and track day-to-day tasks of the team members to ensure that all the deliverables are completed on time.
- Support the client as a Sr. Technical Architect in the design and delivery of the Enterprise Analytics solutions.
- Participate in requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and business process improvement activities.
- Work cross-functionally with technical teams, business stakeholders, and Federal customer representatives.
- Support knowledge sharing through code reviews, documentation, and mentoring.
- This position requires On-site presence at least 3 days a week in the Pentagon.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Security Clearance: U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret security clearance are required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is required.
- Experience: 10 years of related work experience managing technical development teams of 10+ resources using Agile methodology.
- Experience working on Data Science projects.
- Extensive experience working with multiple Data Science tools (e.g. Databricks, Palantir Foundry etc..).
- Extensive experience Architecting new solutions to support Enterprise level reporting for large organizations.
- Extensive prior experience working with clients on Technical designs and solutioning to support Enterprise reporting needs.
- Experience maintaining Project Management specific documentation like Risk Register, Issue Log, Change Log etc.
- Prior hands-on experience building production data pipelines, reports and dashboards.
- Extensive experience working with Jira and Confluence.
- Competence with software engineering tools and processes, including estimation, issue tracking, version control, and debugging.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and participate in technical and business discussions.
- Proven ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Proven experience with knowledge sharing, including code reviews and clear documentation.
- Driven, self-directed personality with a strong sense of mission and commitment to making a difference.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience working with the DoD.
- Experience working with GFEBS or another SAP ERP system.
