À propos de ce poste Technical Product Manager - Code Quality chez Sonarsource
Position description
The team:
You will join the Code Quality product team, part of Sonar's Product Management group. Each Code Quality PM works with dedicated engineering squads and partners closely with UX, marketing and sales. We value collaboration, kindness and continuous improvement, and we base decisions on data and customer evidence.
What will you own in your first year:
-
The strategy and roadmap for one of our core language ecosystems, from market research and customer discovery to shipped rules and analyzers.
-
Decisions on which new languages Sonar should support, and where we should not compete.
-
New AI capabilities: how our analysis fits into the workflows of AI coding agents, and how quality gates apply to AI-generated code.
-
Day-to-day trade-offs with analyzer engineers, such as rule precision versus noise, and analysis speed.
-
Regular contact with developers and customers through calls, our community forum and conferences, and turning what you learn into roadmap decisions.
What you will do
Product vision and roadmap: research, clarify, and prioritize opportunities, and keep the roadmap effective
Customer interaction: engage with users on the product forum, support them, and turn their feedback into opportunities
Domain expertise: develop a deep understanding of code quality and how to help developers write more reliable, maintainable software
Cross-team work: collaborate with other PMs on cross-product features, and align with engineering and UX from problem definition through development
Experience and qualifications
Must-haves
-
5+ years in technical roles, ideally including hands-on software development.
-
3+ years as a product manager on a technical or B2B software product, owning discovery, strategy and roadmap rather than only the backlog, preferably in an agile environment.
-
Hands-on use of AI coding assistants or agents in your own work, and an informed view of how they are changing software development.
-
Proven ability to lead a topic autonomously from start to finish, making pragmatic decisions amid change, complexity and uncertainty.
-
Fluent written and spoken English.
-
Solid understanding of code quality in at least one programming language or ecosystem.
-
Technical understanding of how code scanning and static analysis tools work.
-
Experience in developer tools, or contributions to open-source tooling such as linters, compilers or IDE plugins.
-
Experience speaking or writing for developer audiences.
Nice to have
If you meet most of the must-haves and this work interests you, we encourage you to apply even if your background doesn’t match every point.
