Global Business Services delivers Technology and Operations capabilities to Lines of Business and Staff Support Functions of Bank of America through a centrally managed, globally integrated delivery model and globally resilient operations.

In India, we are present in five locations and operate as BA Continuum India Private Limited (BACI), a non-banking subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation and the operating company for India operations of Global Business Services.

 

Process Overview*

Enterprise Data, AI Governance, and Privacy is an enterprise capability focused on trusted and governed data and AI foundations, regulatory compliance, privacy protection, and effective execution of strategic initiatives. The organization brings together policy, governance, delivery and operational excellence to support reliable insights, responsible AI adoption, resilient data operations and enterprise program execution

Enterprise Data Transmission Support the governance and management of external data transmissions by ensuring data movements are properly registered, monitored, and compliant with enterprise policies and standards. Responsibilities include incident management, testing, reporting, risk assessment, and supporting privacy, compliance, resiliency, and cloud governance requirements

Privacy

Execute operational activities across Data Privacy programs including case management, investigations, records and data governance, risk assessment, reporting, and regulatory compliance. Conduct research, analysis, documentation, and remediation activities while ensuring adherence to applicable laws, enterprise policies, and governance standards. Collaborate with stakeholders to manage risks, strengthen controls, support audits, and drive continuous process improvements.

Policy Adherence Testing:

Execute policy adherence testing across Data, Privacy, Records, Regulatory Reporting, and Risk Reporting programs, including control validation, evidence assessment, script execution, issue identification, reporting, and governance oversight. Conduct research, analysis, documentation, testing, and remediation activities by reviewing supporting documentation and evidence, evaluating adherence to policy requirements, determining testing outcomes, and documenting rationale, observations, and control deficiencies while ensuring compliance with enterprise policies, standards, and governance frameworks.

Records:

Global Records Management: supports records classification, retention schedules, policy compliance, monitoring, reporting and operational controls to meet enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.

 

Job Description

·        Investigate, document, and support remediation of privacy incidents and events by performing root cause analysis, identifying control gaps, assessing privacy risks and customer impact, supporting notification obligations, and recommending process improvements to mitigate recurring risks.

·        Prepare operational, risk, compliance, and management reports; support quality assurance and control validation activities; identify opportunities for process optimization and automation; participate in policy and procedure enhancements; and collaborate with global stakeholders across business, risk, compliance, legal, technology, and support functions to drive operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

·        Execute policy adherence testing across Data, External Data Transmission, Privacy, Records, and Governed Reporting programs through script execution, evidence validation, and control assessments to ensure compliance with enterprise policies and standards. Document testing outcomes, identify and report gaps, and drive continuous improvement.

·        Maintain and validate processing records, records inventories, retention schedules, classifications and governance controls for Records of Processing Activities and Global Records Management

·        Support EDT governance activities by contributing to transmission registration, monitoring, testing, incident management, defect validation, risk assessment, reporting, and process enhancement activities.

·        Apply appropriate operational controls to automation solutions, including validation, exception handling, auditability, access considerations, and change documentation.

·        Partner with process owners and subject-matter experts to understand business requirements and translate them into practical automation solutions.

·        Prepare clear status updates, management reports, process metrics, and presentations for operational and leadership stakeholders.

·        Manage automation and operational priorities while meeting mandatory and demanding delivery timelines.

·        Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by applying operational excellence principles and challenging inefficient or non-value-added activities.

Requirements*

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues, assess risk and identify practical solutions.

·        Working knowledge of data privacy, information security, regulatory compliance, security event management and operational risk concepts.

·        Ability to understand and apply jurisdictional laws, regulations, policies, enterprise standards and internal control expectations.

·        Knowledge of privacy, risk, compliance, records management, data governance and operational control frameworks.

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex information into concise, stakeholder-appropriate messages.

·        High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, evidence quality, auditability and regulatory compliance.

·        Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word and SharePoint.

·        Ability to analyze data, identify trends and prepare operational, risk and management reporting.

·        Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.

·        Adaptability and continuous learning mindset, with interest in privacy, data governance, AI governance and evolving regulatory requirements.

 

Education: MBA / PGDM

Foundational skills

·        Basic understanding of data management, data governance, operational risk, process controls, and information security concepts.

·        Familiarity with operational reporting, data-quality monitoring, issue tracking, and management reporting.

·        Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.

·        Understanding of the automation development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and support.

·        Awareness of External Data Transmission (EDT), Privacy, Records Management, BCBS 239 principles, regulatory reporting requirements, compliance, resiliency, and governance considerations associated with data movement and data lifecycle management is advantageous.

·        Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and prepare operational, risk, and management reporting.

·        Basic SQL and database knowledge required to execute data validations, understand query logic, interpret results, and effectively assess application behavior against expected outcomes.  

 

Desired skills

·        Familiarity with basic SQL, Power Query, Power BI, Power Automate, Git, APIs, or structured data formats such as CSV, JSON, and XML would be beneficial.

·        Exposure to AI-assisted productivity or coding tools, with an understanding of the need for human validation, data protection, and responsible usage.

·        Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or other operational excellence methodologies would be an advantage.

·        Ability to convert business requirements into clear automation use cases and measurable operational outcomes.

 

Location: Should be willing to work in any locations namely – Mumbai, Chennai, Gurugram, Gandhinagar (GIFT), Hyderabad as per company requirement
