Job Summary

Translate RELX Talent and Capability strategy into effective, consistent processes, practical solutions and meaningful insight. The role connects specialist T&C expertise with other delivery teams, ensuring that talent, performance and learning approaches work in practice and that their impact can be understood and improved.

Responsibilities

• Partner with central specialists and divisional T&C teams to define business problems, outcomes, user needs and success measures, translating talent, succession, performance and learning principles into process, data and solution requirements
• Identify shared needs, recommend reusable approaches and prioritise work by value, risk and capacity
• Define and improve employee lifecycle processes, including EP, RELX OTR and wider talent reviews
• Convert agreed talent approaches into practical workflows, guidance and data requirements, for example for talent pooling, recording potential, succession planning and performance calibration.
• Use feedback and evidence to improve usability and consistency, partnering with Operations, Process Optimisation and Automation teams to simplify processes and increase efficiency
• Act as central T&C contact for HR Technology and AI development teams, coordinating requirements, dependencies, testing, acceptance and handover
• Define delivery, usage, talent, capability and business outcome measures; establish consistent definitions, data requirements and accessible reporting
• Support or lead governance for T&C solutions, ensuring clear ownership, decisions, documentation and reviews
• Assess AI-enabled approaches for suitability, transparency, human oversight and alignment with RELX talent principles

Requirements

• Practical talent and capability experience, with strong knowledge of talent reviews, succession, potential and performance management, plus working knowledge of learning and capability development
• Experience translating specialist needs into process designs, data requirements and delivered solutions, ideally in a complex, multidivisional or multinational organisation
• Experience coordinating business and technical projects or workstreams, including requirements, prioritisation, testing, issue resolution and handover
• Experience developing or using decision-support reporting, with understanding of metrics, data quality and evidence limitationsUnderstanding of responsible handling of sensitive employee and talent information, governance and approvals
• Strong business and technical translation, analysis, judgement, partnership, influence, delivery discipline, employee focus and curiosity
• Able to challenge solutions, balance value, usability, effort and risk, build credibility across T&C, technology and divisional teams, progress work without direct authority and resolve issues
• Experience with Visier or similar analytics tools, talent and learning platforms, AI-enabled coaching, supplier evaluation and multinational matrix organisationsundefined
