Job Description:

This job is responsible for defining and leading the engineering approach for complex features to deliver significant business outcomes. Key responsibilities of the job include delivering complex features and technology, enabling development efficiencies, providing technical thought leadership based on conducting multiple software implementations, and applying both depth and breadth in a number of technical competencies. Additionally, this job is accountable for end-to-end solution design and delivery.

• Our team is building resilient, secure, and scalable cloud platforms that support the next generation of digital financial applications. We’re looking for a Platform Engineer with hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Cloud Architecture and networks to help build and support our cloud-native environments.
• In this role, you will work as a key contributor within our cloud platform team, focusing on automation, infrastructure as code, and secure delivery pipelines. You’ll collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to deliver well-architected solutions aligned with industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures that the design and engineering approach for complex features are consistent with the larger portfolio solution
• Define the technology tool stack for the solution and evaluate and adapt new testing tool/framework/practices for team(s)
• Enables team(s)/applications with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) capabilities and engages with other technical stakeholders pertaining to efficient functioning of CI-CD pipeline
• Guides and influences team(s) on design and best practices for high code performance –e.g. pairing, code reviews
• Provides end-to-end delivery of complex features, including automation, for either a single team or multiple teams, at the program level
• Conducts research, design prototyping and other exploration activities such as evaluating new toolsets and components for release management, CI/CD, and features
• Works with stakeholders to establish high-level solution needs and with architects for technical requirements

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of software engineering, platform engineering experience with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Leading migration (to Cloud) and decommissioning of legacy platforms
• Enhancing platform security to address AI-accelerated vulnerability risks
• Designing and implementing scalable, secure API platforms
• Supporting global clients with onboarding, CI/CD enablement, and best practices
• Driving operational excellence across a high-volume, mission-critical platform
• Extensive experience with Java Spring boot development, object-oriented programming, data structures, multithreading, and multiprocessing
• Strong experience developing web applications and REST APIs
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or SQL server, including data modeling and query optimization
• Experience defining architecture and technical strategy for complex enterprise solutions spanning applications, data, integrations, automation, and workflow domains
• Ability to evaluate dependencies, non-functional requirements, architectural risks, and implementation trade-offs across large-scale solutions
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture standards, cloud security, networking, identity and access management, technology governance, security controls, and regulated environments
• Experience collaborating with architecture, engineering, product, delivery, and operations teams to achieve successful outcomes
• Proficiency with Git and modern software engineering practices
• Proven experience designing production-grade cloud infrastructure in regulated environments.
• Advanced knowledge of networking (firewalls, DNS, Load Balancing, Proxies, etc.)
• Experience with continuous integration/delivery pipelines and GitOps workflows.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• This role requires release support and occasional weekend support.

Desired Qualifications:

• Prior experience in financial services, Wealth Management , Trading , or other regulated industries.

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$122,000.00 - $200,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
