As a Systems Engineer, you’ll design, integrate, and optimize complex systems that drive the semiconductor industry forward. Your expertise in systems thinking and problem-solving is essential as you collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop advanced solutions to intricate processes and writing system specifications. You’ll be responsible for analyzing requirements, defining system architectures, conducting thorough testing, and ensuring seamless integration of subsystems. Additionally, you’ll identify and mitigate risks, confirming that our systems meet the highest quality standards and exceed customer expectations.

Overview
We are seeking an experienced System Engineer to lead the design, integration, validation, and optimization of complex semiconductor fabrication equipment. This role requires strong systems engineering expertise and the ability to work across electrical, mechanical, controls, software, and process engineering domains to deliver innovative and reliable products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute complex projects involving electrical, mechanical, physics, algorithms, controls, and software engineering disciplines.
- Define system architecture, subsystem interactions, and equipment interfaces, ensuring alignment with product and market requirements.
- Translate customer and market requirements into detailed system, hardware, and software specifications.
- Lead technical design reviews and drive engineering decisions throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Develop subsystem specifications, interface requirements, and system documentation.
- Support system integration, assembly, calibration, qualification, and final product testing.
- Design and execute validation plans, test procedures, and experiments to verify system performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across electrical, mechanical, software, process, manufacturing, and field environments.
- Drive improvements in product reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, and overall system performance.
- Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams on product development, component selection, and technology enhancements.
- Maintain engineering documentation, design records, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Required Technical Competencies
- Systems Engineering: System Architecture, Systems Thinking, Requirements Engineering, Product Design, Integration & Validation, Root Cause Analysis.
- Controls & Automation: Motion Control, EtherCAT, Industrial Automation & Control Systems.
- Electrical & Mechanical Systems: Electrical/Control Schematics, Gas Panel Design, P&ID Interpretation, Fluid & Gas Delivery Systems.
- Component Engineering: Valves, Regulators, Mass Flow Controllers (MFCs), Sensors, Actuators, and Transducers.
- Verification & Documentation: V&V, Test Planning & Execution, Engineering Specifications, BOM Management, and Compliance Documentation.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Controls Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
- 7–15 years of relevant experience in Systems Engineering, Semiconductor Equipment, Automation Systems, or Complex Electromechanical Product Development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment.
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary system design and integration.
- Experience leading technical reviews and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Knowledge of reliability engineering, structured problem solving, and product validation methodologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
