À propos de ce poste System and Hardware Safety Architect chez NXP Semiconductors
As a System and Hardware Safety Architect, you will join a multidisciplinary team of experienced System, Hardware, and Software Functional Safety Architects responsible for developing innovative safety solutions for the next generation of automotive, industrial, and robotics systems.
The mission of the Safety team is to develop system-level reference safety concepts, evaluate emerging technologies, and drive functional safety innovation that enables future architectures and applications. In this role, you will act as a technical leader and subject matter expert for selected safety technologies, contributing to NXP's strategic safety roadmap and influencing future product and system architectures.
Your initial focus will be on 48V Energy Distribution architectures for Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV), including zonal and central compute architectures. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to advanced safety solutions for X-by-Wire systems, as well as electrification applications such as On-Board Chargers (OBC), DC/DC converters, Inverters, and Battery Management Systems (BMS).
Working closely with system architects, IC architects, hardware and software development teams, and customers, you will:
- Define System, Technical, and Hardware Safety Concepts for automotive and industrial reference designs compliant with ISO 26262 and IEC 61508.
- Run safety analyses ( FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, DFA), and other system-level safety assessments.
- Analyze NXP IC safety documentation and safety manuals to derive integration requirements, Hardware-Software Interfaces (HSI), and device configuration recommendations.
- Develop safety manuals, application notes, and customer-facing safety collateral to facilitate product adoption.
- Support hardware and software integration teams in implementing safety mechanisms and achieving safety objectives.
- Contribute to demonstrations and proof-of-concepts showcasing NXP functional safety technologies and innovations.
- Engage directly with customers to support the integration of NXP solutions and the development of system-level functional safety concepts.
- Drive technical leadership across projects, mentor engineers, and promote best practices in functional safety architecture and safety-driven system design.
This position offers a unique opportunity to influence future safety architectures, develop innovative safety technologies, and establish yourself as a recognized technical expert within NXP and the broader functional safety ecosystem.
