Your new role:

The Supplier Management Partner provides dedicated specialist supplier management expertise across the Bank, supporting the effective management of third-party relationships throughout the supplier lifecycle. Working centrally within the Operational Resilience and Control function, the role coordinates and delivers the Bank's supplier management framework and activities, providing specialist expertise, oversight and practical support to Relationship Owners across areas including supplier onboarding, due diligence, ongoing oversight, contract management, renewals, supplier performance, risk management, commercial management and supplier spend. The role is responsible for maintaining the Bank's central view of supplier relationships, including contracts, renewals, spend, performance, risks, issues and actions.

The role acts as the Bank's central point of expertise for supplier management, bringing consistency, structure and effective governance across supplier relationships. Relationship Owners within the first line remain accountable for supplier strategy, business requirements, service outcomes, supplier performance and key commercial decisions. The Supplier Management Partner provides specialist expertise, challenge, coordination and oversight to support Relationship Owners in discharging those responsibilities effectively.

Requirements

Supplier Lifecycle Management Relationship Management:

• Coordinate supplier management activity across the full lifecycle, including onboarding, due diligence, ongoing oversight, renewal and exit provisioning
• Act as the Bank's central supplier management specialist, providing guidance, coordination and challenge to Relationship Owners to support the effective discharge of their supplier management responsibilities
• Own and maintain the Bank's central supplier view, including supplier contracts, renewals, expenditure, performance measures, risks, issues, actions and key obligations, ensuring information remains accurate, complete and up to date
• Coordinate and track supplier management activities across the Bank, ensuring actions, reviews, assessments and governance requirements are completed in a timely manner
• Coordinate supplier management activity across subject matter experts, Relationship Owners and relevant functions including risk, legal, and finance

Contract, Commercial and Third-Party Risk Management:

• Lead and coordinate contract management, renewals, commercial reviews and supplier negotiations, supporting Relationship Owners in achieving appropriate commercial outcomes for the Bank
• Develop and maintain visibility of supplier expenditure, supporting effective forecasting, commercial challenge, cost optimisation and value realisation across the supplier portfolio
• Coordinate third-party risk management activities and support the identification, assessment and monitoring of material supplier risks and dependencies
• Monitor supplier performance and work with Relationship Owners to address material service, control, contractual or commercial concerns, identifying opportunities to improve supplier value and service outcomes
• Support Relationship Owners in evaluating supplier performance, market alternatives and commercial opportunities to improve value, service quality and cost efficiency
  
  

Governance and Insight:

• Own and maintain supplier management data, records and management information, providing clear insight to governance forums on supplier performance, contracts, renewals, spend, risks, issues and actions
• Identify material supplier risks, recurring issues, upcoming renewals and emerging themes requiring attention or escalation
• Support continuous improvement of supply and management practises, controls and capability across the Bank
