The University of Louisville’s ULtra team is seeking a motivated individual as the Student Success Specialist (KCTCS Pathways Specialist) who will oversee management, tracking, and facilitation of the KCTCS Pathways project. Ideal candidate will also serve as the Transfer lead for promoting and student engagement of the KCTCS Pathways project. This position will be responsible for developing and facilitating a routine process to maintain updated KCTCS Pathways. Ideal candidate will collaborate with members of University of Louisville and Kentucky Community & Technical College’s curriculum management team(s) to ensure that all pathways are updated on a routine basis. The ideal candidate for this position will also be responsible for expanding student engagement through promotion of the Pathways project. This role combines knowledge of KCTCS to four-year transfer curriculum management, organizational, customer service, and communication skills. Position will be fully remote with occasional on-site meetings- ideal candidate must reside in commutable distance to Belknap campus in Louisville Kentucky
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and maintain routine updates of KCTCS Pathways documents to include creating a process to track and implement yearly updates to KCTCS Pathways. Responsible for facilitating updates to individual existing pathway documents along with creation of new pathways for all University of Louisville majors.
- Establish clear tracking database that outlines academic and programmatic updates on pathways that occur at KCTCS and University of Louisville. Responsible for creating a database that tracks all programmatic updates as they relate to KCTCS/UofL curricular changes based on catalog updates.
- Coordinate routine communication with curriculum management stakeholders at UofL and KCTCS to assist with establishment of process that routinely tracks curricular changes of pathway documents. This includes but is not limited to facilitating collaboration between KCTCS Curricular Management team and necessary academic units at UofL.
- Work as primary point of contact responsible for updating and posting of current and up-to-date Pathway documents to University of Louisville’s Transfer website. Serve as point of contact responsible for ensuring that all updated Pathway documents are also provided to necessary KCTCS web management point person(s). Assist with development and implementation of strategies to promote and engage KCTCS stakeholders and students to accommodate Pathways project growth.
- Meet with and inform prospective KCTCS transfers on KCTCS Pathways opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree
- Familiarity with Kentucky Community & Technical College curriculum as it relates to transfer standards.
- Prior experience working in higher education setting specifically with transfer student populations.
- The ability to work independently with little supervision to implement existing and new processes to meet curricular deadlines.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Content Management Systems in a higher education setting, Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, ect), online video conferencing tools such as Zoom/ Microsoft Teams.
- Prior knowledge of data input, management, and visualization for database use.
- Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Requires attention to detail, organization, computer and software skills, and communication skills as the candidate will be responsible for managing and tracking of yearly updates to each pathway as updates are made available
- Candidate must be student centered, exhibit exemplary time management skills, the ability to work on a team, and must demonstrate basic knowledge of academic programming and functions.
- Candidate expected to serve on Kentucky’s Council on Postsecondary Education peer team to receive and provide updates as it relates to KCTCS Pathway curriculum updates.

Target Compensation Maximum:
$72,389.00Target Compensation Minimum:
$48,225.00Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
