Title: Storeroom Coordinator

WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL BE;

• The purpose of the job is to manage the inventory and all goods received into glass mat plant operation’s storeroom.

  The Storeroom Coordinator will be SME for the storeroom operation, responsible for training all facility personnel on policies and procedures regarding the operation of the storeroom.  In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for training and development resource for the IKO Southeast plants as needed. 

  Responsibilities

• Sourcing:
  • Order all MRO goods for the plant except for raw materials and track their min max levels ensuring other departments always have stock of regular use items.
  • Negotiate all costs and freight with vendors when ordering goods.
  • Reviewing and issuing purchase requisitions through Maximo and/or JDE.
  • Negotiates VMI contracts with vendors.
• Receiving:
  • Receives all MRO goods for the plant except for manufacturing raw materials.
  • Inspects, organizes, verifies, and stocks all storeroom parts once received.
• Assist, Train, and Support other plants and departments as needed.
  • Act as a Storeroom Coordinator for the company and assist other plants as needed.
  • Ship monthly R&D items for the lab.
  • Act as the backup for the Plant Purchasing Manager
• Storeroom Management:
  • Exceptional housekeeping and organization (5S) of storeroom and any satellite stores that exist.
  • Maintain and stock inventory of machine parts and supplies ensuring inventory accuracy while issuing parts to end users.
  • Maintain security and controlled access to the storeroom.
  • Manage the parts criticality assessment program so all parts being requested to stock in the storeroom go through this assessment tool gaining approval prior to stocking a new item in the storeroom.
  • Organize parts in the storeroom so they are easily accessible by everyone, i.e., organize all like items in same area, etc.
  • Create and manage a system so repairable parts, that are removed from the machine, are inventoried, and sent out for repairs.
  • Ensure items being returned from outside suppliers to the storeroom are in specification per the drawings, etc. before accepting and stocking in the assigned storage location.
  • Review slow moving/obsolete inventory working closely with the maintenance and operations leadership.
  • Be the contact person for RGAs or any other items to be shipped out of our storeroom to other destinations.
  • Manage Modula scheduled vendor maintenance management as necessary while keeping neat Modula and shelving stock areas.
• Cycle Count Program
  • Keeping up with routine weekly cycle counts to maintain accurate parts count in the CMMS and Inventory system.
  • Generating and performing inventory cycle counts and tracking KPI with Corrective Actions for misses.
  • Ensure all inventory adjustments are investigated to find the root cause and corrections of the problems before an adjustment is made.
  • Identifying improvements and accuracy for Min/Max levels, especially when Root Cause Analysis (RCA) is solving repetitive problems that extend the life cycle of equipment.
  • Complete a full physical of all parts in the storeroom based on management’s designated frequency.
• Daily Maintenance/Contractor Support
  • Kit jobs daily for work orders with maintenance planner created by the maintenance planners.
  • Organizes all Contractor parts that are drop shipped to the plant.
  • Works closely with the maintenance planners and leadership to ensure they have all the parts needed to effectively maintain the operation.
  • Ensure all parts are correctly charged to the work orders and assets in which they will be used.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;

• Bachelor’s degree in Inventory Management or equivalent experience preferred

• 10-12 years of work experience in a related field

• Track record of successfully managing a manufacturing plant storeroom

• Successful track record for working with and servicing multiple department’s inventory needs

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, JDE, and Maximo

• Forklift and Scissor lift certified

• Ability to read blueprints utilizing DNA and Auto Cad

• Ability to train others

• Excellent communication skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
