About the role

We are currently looking for a Station Security Design Expert for a Railway Infrastructure project

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations of security risks and vulnerabilities specific to the railway station environment.
• Develop security design plans tailored to the station’s layout, operational requirements, and passenger flow.
• Specify and recommend appropriate security systems and measures, including access control, surveillance systems, intrusion detection, and screening checkpoints.
• Collaborate in the development of contingency plans, emergency procedures, and response protocols for security incidents.
• Ensure that all security designs comply with applicable regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to align security objectives with overall project goals and operational requirements.
• Incorporate advanced security technologies and innovative solutions into the station design to enhance safety and operational efficiency.
• Develop and support training programs to educate staff and passengers on security procedures, emergency response, and safety awareness.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of security measures and recommend enhancements and upgrades as necessary.
• Review security-related designs, reports, and submissions, and provide recommendations for improvement where required.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Team Leader and Deputy Team Leader in connection with the project.

About You:

• He/She should have bachelor's degree in civil/security Management/Architecture or equivalent in relevant fields
• Minimum 12 years of total professional experience in security planning, design, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in the transportation sector, preferably in the railway industry.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in similar feasibility studies and design consultancy projects.
• Preferably 5 years of experience as a Station Security Design Expert or in a similar position on comparable consultancy assignments.
• Demonstrated experience in the planning, design, and implementation of security systems for transportation infrastructure, railway stations, or similar public facilities.
• Familiarity with security risk assessment, surveillance systems, access control systems, emergency response planning, and relevant security standards.
• Working experience in SAARC and/or ASEAN countries will be considered an advantage.
