The Position

Join the StartUp Roche Diagnostics China Development Program and embark on an accelerated career path designed for future leaders. We are seeking individuals with High Personal Drive, High Potential, and High Mobility, who have no more than 3 years of professional experience in the healthcare industry.

As a Trainee, you will have a unique opportunity to gain a global view of Roche's business landscape, breadth of experience across the value chain in Roche Diagnostics China, and depth of knowledge in the specific function, given the China In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) market dynamics. This program will empower you to shape the company by making significant contributions to our purpose: "Doing now what patients need next."

The program includes the following development journeys: 1) Commercial and 2) Digital & AI. Over the two-year duration, you will complete up to four rotations, each with tailored goals and plans. In the Commercial development journey, we are looking for ambitious professionals passionate about business strategy and commercial excellence. The development journey empowers talent to translate high-level strategy into market execution, leveraging scientific expertise and digital innovation to drive sustainable growth in China's evolving healthcare ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Business Growth & Strategy Execution: Translate macro market dynamics, health policy shifts, and strategic insights into bold, actionable go-to-market strategies that accelerate top-line business growth

• Clinical Value Translation: Translate complex diagnostic and scientific data into impactful clinical value propositions that drive healthcare adoption

• Execute Strategic Cross-Functional Rotation: Complete high-impact assignments across core commercial functions

• Lead End-to-End Project: Lead complex cross-functional initiatives independently—from design to execution—navigating multitasking priorities and managing diverse internal and external stakeholders

• Drive Digital & AI Innovation: Harness modern AI tools, digital healthcare solutions, and data analytics to optimize marketing efficiency, streamline operational workflows, and sharpen strategic decision-making

Required Competencies & Background

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Healthcare, Life Sciences, or Business-related majors. (Candidates with a non-medical background must demonstrate quick learning agility to acquire domain knowledge).

• Work Experience: 0–3 years of professional experience in IVD, Pharma, MedTech, or Healthcare Consulting. For fresh graduates, solid high-impact healthcare-related internships are required.

• Stakeholder Management & Collaboration: Outstanding interpersonal intelligence and cross-cultural communication skills to align, influence, and collaborate across central and regional teams.

• Strategic & Analytical Acumen: Proven capability to deconstruct complex commercial challenges and build structured, data-driven solutions.

• Learning Agility & Growth Mindset: High curiosity, adaptability to change, and continuous commitment to self-development and feedback.

• Project Management & Multi-tasking: Strong track record of managing dynamic projects in fast-paced environments with strong accountability.

• Languages: Business fluency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin.
