ABOUT THE JOB
Warfighter Systems is seeking a Staff Technical Program & Manufacturing Engineer to lead development and direct supplier engagement in building and delivering advanced AR/VR optical systems. This position joins a small but growing team in Taiwan where you will be on the front-line managing Anduril’s strategic supplier engagements, including managing supplier partnerships, developing and executing on program schedules & deliverables, driving manufacturing process improvement, and leading problem solving and cross-functional communication. This is a leadership position, and Anduril is seeking a multi-talented individual who is unafraid to take ownership, span disciplines and ensure that our critical optical systems deliver per plan.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Program Management: Lead supplier engagements, manage timelines and deliverables, and align resources to ensure successful production-quality and successful delivery of complex display and optical systems. Balance competing priorities across multiple products and programs in a fast-paced, startup environment.
- Build Management: Lead planning and execution of optical system build events across supplier sites, including configuration matrices, daily build plans, clear-to-build matrices, BOM reviews, unit allocation, and daily build reporting.
- Technical Expertise: Understand the architecture, design, performance targets and manufacturing / test processes to guide design convergence and build management. Support engineering teams in resolving technical issues and making trade-offs to meet product objectives. Ensure compliance with industry standards and government regulations, such as ITAR and RMF.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between engineering teams, supplier partners and Anduril leadership. Align cross-functional teams on their goals, dependencies, and deliverables. Drive effective communication and collaboration across distributed teams and locations.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks proactively, including technical, schedule, and production related risks. Maintain and drive ‘Major Issues Lists’, monitor development dependencies, anticipate bottlenecks, and adjust plans as needed to maintain program maturity, quality and deliverables.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with key supplier partners, ensuring program alignment with contractual obligations and stakeholder expectations. Prepare and deliver clear program updates, technical briefs, and performance reports for internal and external audiences.
- Process Improvement: Implement and refine processes to enhance program execution and efficiency within a startup environment. Leverage best practices in program management while adapting to the unique challenges of the defense sector.
