Job Summary

As a Frontend Central Planning Strategic Planning Staff Engineer, you will shape and deliver high-impact planning initiatives across the global Frontend network. You will serve as a subject matter expert, translate ambiguous business challenges into structured analyses and executable solutions, and lead complex cross-functional work from problem definition through implementation and sustained adoption.

You will partner with planning teams, manufacturing and engineering organizations, supply chain, finance, and digital solution partners to strengthen scenario planning, business processes, data quality, planning systems, and decision support. This is a senior individual-contributor role. Success requires leadership through technical credibility, sound judgment, clear recommendations, and influence across organizational boundaries.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership and Execution

• Define and lead large, complex cross-functional initiatives from concept through implementation, adoption, and benefits realization.
• Establish scope, workstreams, milestones, decision points, success measures, dependencies, and governance for disciplined execution.
• Drive alignment, remove roadblocks, manage risks, and ensure actions are closed with clear accountability.
• Provide concise updates highlighting outcomes, insights, decisions required, risks, and recovery actions.

Business Transformation and Process Excellence

• Identify systemic planning pain points and convert them into scalable process, governance, or capability improvements.
• Design and implement sustainable processes, standards, and best-known methods that improve planning quality, speed, consistency, and transparency.
• Apply structured problem solving and root-cause analysis to resolve recurring issues and prevent rework.
• Lead change adoption through early user engagement, feedback, documentation, and effectiveness monitoring.

Planning Systems, Data, and Digital Enablement

• Translate business needs into clear requirements, use cases, process logic, and acceptance criteria for planning tools and digital solutions.
• Partner with solution teams through design, validation, implementation, user acceptance, and continuous enhancement.
• Improve data quality, integration, traceability, visualization, and usability across planning platforms.
• Identify and advance opportunities for automation, advanced analytics, optimization, and responsible AI-enabled planning.

Stakeholder Influence and Technical Leadership

• Build trusted partnerships across Frontend Planning, manufacturing sites, engineering, supply chain, finance, and digital organizations.
• Facilitate alignment and influence priorities, scope, and trade-offs without relying on direct authority.
• Communicate complex analysis clearly and provide evidence-based recommendations to working teams, partners, and management.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, mentor peers and junior engineers, share knowledge, and strengthen organizational capability through standards, training, and reusable methods.

Industry Analysis and Strategic Insights

• Conduct industry benchmarking, market intelligence, and competitive analysis to identify trends, gaps, and strategic opportunities.
• Evaluate external practices, technologies, and methodologies for relevance to Frontend planning.
• Convert internal and external insights into actionable recommendations that improve planning capability and business outcomes.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline.
• Typically 7+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing, strategic planning, capacity or capital planning, operations, supply chain, business transformation, analytics, or program leadership.
• Demonstrated success leading large, complex, cross-functional initiatives from problem definition through implementation and adoption.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, factory planning, capacity, capital, space, technology transitions, or planning-system concepts.
• Ability to synthesize complex datasets and competing inputs into clear insights, options, trade-offs, and recommendations.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive decisions without direct authority.
• Experience with process improvement, system implementation, automation, analytics, optimization, or digital transformation.
• Strong written, verbal, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant data-analysis or visualization tools. Experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, optimization, or AI-enabled solutions is advantageous.
• Demonstrated mentoring, technical guidance, or peer leadership is preferred.
