Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr Principal Software Quality Analyst located in Huntsville, AL.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains standards for software quality operating methods, processes, systems and procedures.
  • Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains standards for software quality operating methods, processes, systems and procedures. Thoroughly documents all work
  • Ensures measures meet acceptable reliability standards. Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives
  • Ensures that project and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contract
  • Reviews software design, change specifications, and plans against contractual and/or process requirements. Reviews include applicable specifications, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies
  • Performs or directs verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability.
  • Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) Facilitator who oversees the entire RCCA lifecycle from Problem statement through reconciliation, including monitoring status of corrective actions and preventative actions, review/analyze/defect data, monitoring test problem report data and closure status, including full documentation and reporting to all stakeholders
  • Lead and support internal and external audits and complete reports
  • Assist Program Quality Managers with Mission Assurance/Program Management requirements and metrics
  • Support fielded major end items (MEI) Integration of software as needed
  • Prepare and/or present data in management-level presentations
  • Ability to read documentation such as contractual standards and program plans. Statements of work (SOW) and requirements
  • Proficient in industry Quality Standards
  • Ability to initiate and work corrective actions (CARs) through completion and sign-off

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of related experience in at least one of the following areas: Engineering, Production/Manufacturing, Mission Assurance and/or Quality Assurance OR a Master's degree AND 6 years of related experience in at least one of the following areas: Engineering, Production/Manufacturing, Mission Assurance and/or Quality Assurance
  • Ability to read documentation such as contractual standards, program plans, statements of work, and requirements
  • Experience with ISO9001, and/or AS9100 industry standards
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Must have an Active Secret DOD Security Clearance
  • Must be able to work on-site in Huntsville, Alabama

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Dedicated to teamwork and must be able to work well in a team environment
  • ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 trained auditor
  • Familiar with AS9102 and AS6500
  • Familiar with DO 187C process adherence and compliance and/or AS 9100D
  • Active DOD Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience working with military or government contracts
  • Experience with supplier quality, and quality management system (QMS) oversight

Primary Level Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $168,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
