What is The Role
This role is responsible for leading the migration from Salesforce CPQ to Revenue Cloud and being responsible for the end-to-end Quote-to-Cash capability. The manager will ensure that quoting, pricing, contracting, ordering, and billing processes operate optimally and scale with business growth. The role requires close partnership with Sales, Finance, Legal, and IT.
What You Will Be Doing
- Architectural Governance & Technical Leadership
- Architectural Oversight: Define and govern solution blueprints, integration patterns, and engineering standards across Salesforce CPQ, Revenue Cloud (RCA), Billing, and Subscription Management.
- End-to-End Development Leadership: Lead Salesforce development across design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
- Solution Design & Build: Design and develop scalable solutions using Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura; develop, test, and optimize Apex classes, triggers, batch and schedulable jobs.
- Technical Quality & Code QA: Conduct code reviews of engineering deliverables (pull requests, Apex, LWC, SOQL) to ensure quality, maintainability, minimal custom-code debt, and adherence to Salesforce security best practices.
- Integrations & Data Modeling: Guide data modeling strategies and integrate Salesforce with ERP systems, MuleSoft middleware, payment gateways, and third-party financial applications via REST/SOAP APIs and other integration tools.
- Standards & Best Practices: Define and enforce best practices around Salesforce development, security, and data management.
- Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs): Conduct technical discovery and build light PoCs to validate solution designs before committing user stories to sprint development.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current on Salesforce releases and emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
- Engineering Delivery & Sprint Management

- Agile Sprint Execution: Own end-to-end engineering delivery for the Q2C team, running 2-week Agile sprints with strict Definition-of-Ready (DoR) criteria.
- Team Capacity & Roadmap Ownership: Manage capacity, velocity, and delivery roadmaps for direct reports (Salesforce Admins and Engineers across US and India), balancing maintenance with strategic migration milestones.
- Mentorship: Mentor junior developers and raise the team's engineering bar.
- Scope Defense & Vendor Management: Protect sprint commitments against mid-sprint scope creep through stakeholder negotiation; manage external partners when engaged.
- Cross-Functional Strategic Alignment
- Process Excellence: Eliminate internal process complexity and lead technical discovery workshops aligned to revenue recognition and subscription lifecycle requirements.
- Business Requirement Translation: Partner with Sales Operations, Finance, Billing, Legal, architects, and admins to translate commercial policies and requirements into technical designs and executable engineering work.
What You Bring
- 10+ years of IT experience, including 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce development.
- 3–4+ years of people management experience leading, mentoring, and scaling Salesforce engineering/configuration teams across onshore and offshore environments.
- 5+ years of Salesforce CPQ & Revenue Cloud expertise: Quote-to-Cash implementations, standard CPQ objects, Revenue Cloud (RCA) data structures, Billing, Subscription Management, and Revenue Recognition.
- CPQ-to-RCA migration track record: Hands-on experience migrating legacy CPQ architectures to Revenue Cloud, including data migration strategies and object model shifts.
- Salesforce Technical Skillset:
- Agile delivery discipline: 2-week Scrum cadences, clear acceptance criteria, velocity management.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
Bonus Points
- Salesforce platform experience in Sales Cloud and related integrations
- Experience working with Finance and Revenue Operations teams
Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component.
The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below. In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below.
These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.
An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program.
