Torch Technologies is seeking a Senior GSSO / SAP Security Specialist to join a team supporting the 950th Spectrum Warfare Group (950 SWG) at Robins AFB, GA. The Senior Government Special Security Officer (GSSO) / SAP Security Specialist is responsible for senior-level oversight, management, and implementation of all security disciplines for assigned Special Access Programs (SAPs) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) activities. The Senior GSSO ensures strict compliance with departmental and national-level security directives, serves as a principal security advisor to program leadership, and helps ensure the integrity and protection of critical national security information. The position is expected to independently manage complex security matters, advise leadership on risk and compliance, and provide guidance to other security personnel as required.

As a Senior GSSO / SAP Security Specialist, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

Program Security Management

• Lead and manage daily security operations for SAP and SCI facilities in accordance with DoDM 5205.07 Volumes 1-4, DoDM 5105.21, and relevant Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs).
• Serve as a principal security advisor to program management, government leadership, and mission partners on security posture, policy interpretation, compliance requirements, and risk.
• Lead security reviews, annual self-inspections, vulnerability assessments, and compliance evaluations to ensure continuous operational readiness.
• Develop, review, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Security Classification Guides (SCGs), Program Protection Plans (PPPs), and related program security materials.
• Identify security risks, recommend corrective actions, and lead resolution of security findings and compliance issues.

Personnel & Physical Security

• Oversee Program Access Requests (PARs), indoctrinations, debriefings, recurring access reviews, and personnel security (PERSEC) records and databases, including DISS and JADE.
• Lead or oversee physical security (PHYSEC) operations for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) and Special Access Program Facilities (SAPFs), ensuring adherence to ICD 705 standards.
• Provide senior-level guidance on personnel access, facility security, access control, safeguarding, and related SAP/SCI security requirements.

Security Education & Training

• Lead and enhance initial, annual, and event-driven security briefings, foreign travel briefings, and debriefings for cleared personnel.
• Oversee and enhance a comprehensive Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) program tailored to specific program threats, insider threats, and vulnerabilities.

Incident Response & Information Security

• Lead or oversee investigations of security infractions and violations, preliminary inquiries, required reporting, corrective actions, and coordination with the Cognizant Security Authority (CSA).
• Oversee access control, intrusion detection systems, hardware accreditation, facility co-utilization agreements (CUAs), and related safeguarding requirements.
• Lead inspection readiness, audit response, and resolution of identified security findings.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to security personnel and assist leadership with complex security decisions and risk management.

Job Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Master's degree in a relevant discipline plus at least 4 years' relevant security experience OR Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline plus at least 6 years' relevant security experience OR Associate's degree plus at least 8 years' relevant security experience OR at least 10 years' directly relevant security experience in lieu of a degree
• Demonstrated senior-level experience independently managing or significantly supporting complex SAP and/or SCI security environments
• Experience with SAP personnel security and access management
• Experience with DISS, JADE, Program Access Requests (PARs), SAPF/SCIF security, and ICD 705 implementation
• Experience supporting security inspections, compliance activities, and incident response
• Comprehensive understanding of the NISPOM, DoDM 5205.07 series, DoDM 5105.21, and ICD 704/705
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to brief senior military/civilian leadership and conduct rigorous compliance audits
• Demonstrated ability to advise program leadership, lead security activities, manage competing priorities, and exercise independent judgment on complex security matters
• Active TS required at time of hire; must be SCI eligible
• Must be eligible for Special Access Program (SAP) access

Preferred Skills:

• CDSE SAP Security Professional Certification (SAPPC) or Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) highly preferred
• Prior experience performing duties as a GSSO, CSSO, CPSO, SAP Security Specialist, Program Security Officer, or Special Security Representative at a senior or comparable level of responsibility
• Experience leading inspections, corrective actions, security risk assessments, or mentoring/guiding other security personnel
