You are a strategic and commercially driven planning leader who excels at turning insights into action and inventory investments into profitable growth. You thrive in dynamic environments, balancing customer demand, financial performance, and inventory productivity to drive business results.
As Sr. Director, Wholesale Planning, you will own the planning strategy for North America's Wholesale channel, partnering across Sales, Merchandising, Finance, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership to deliver growth, optimize inventory, and maximize profitability. This is a highly visible leadership role with significant influence on business strategy, key customer partnerships, and enterprise planning decisions.
You are a collaborative leader who develops high-performing teams, embraces innovation, and leverages data to identify opportunities, mitigate risk, and elevate performance.

A Day in the Life:

Strategic Leadership & Business Planning

• Own the Wholesale Planning strategy across North America, aligning sales, inventory, and profitability goals with long-term business objectives.
• Lead annual operating plans, forecasts, and investment strategies to drive sustainable growth and inventory productivity.
• Partner with executive leadership to establish financial targets, business priorities, and growth initiatives.

Commercial & Account Partnership

• Serve as the strategic planning partner to Wholesale Sales leadership and key wholesale accounts.
• Develop growth strategies that maximize revenue, margin, and market share across the wholesale channel.
• Lead account-facing OTB discussion with Wholesale Sales leadership to optimize account performance, profitability, and inventory productivity.

 

Forecasting, Inventory & Replenishment Management

• Lead item level forecasting, replenishment, allocation, and inventory flow strategies to support demand while maintaining healthy inventory levels.
• Drive inventory optimization through analytics, risk management, and cross-functional partnership with Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Corporate Planning.
• Champion reporting enhancements, process improvements, and technology solutions that improve planning effectiveness and decision-making.

Analytics & Business Optimization

• Build and develop a high-performing planning organization through coaching, succession planning, and talent development.
• Influence cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment, accountability, and business results.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

 

Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence

• Partner closely with Merchandise Planning, Merchandising, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and Corporate Planning to ensure alignment on business strategies and execution.
• Influence cross-functional leaders to drive accountability and successful execution of key initiatives.
• Lead change management efforts related to planning processes, inventory strategies, and organizational initiatives.

Talent Leadership

• Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing planning organization through coaching, talent assessment, succession planning, and career development.

To Land This Role

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in Wholesale Planning, Merchandise Planning, Financial Planning, or related retail planning disciplines.
• Proven success leading planning strategies for large-scale, multi-category wholesale businesses.

• Proven success driving growth, profitability, and inventory productivity for large-scale, multi-category businesses.
• Expertise in forecasting, inventory management, replenishment, and financial planning.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills, with the ability to influence strategic decisions through data-driven insights.
• Demonstrated experience partnering with executive leadership and leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Proven ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing teams.

Compensation Range

The compensation range for this position is 205,000.00 USD - 260,000.00 USD. Our offer will be based on your relevant experience and work location.
