Sr Accountant, Accounting

The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for supporting accounting and financial activities for the organization, ensuring accuracy of financial records, compliance with internal controls, and timely completion of month-end close activities. This role will also support financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and internal and external audit processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Mexico intercompany activities, including cash wire transfer requests and intercompany maquila service transactions.
• Perform and maintain Balance Sheet reconciliations, ensuring accurate and timely account balances.
• Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, reserves, amortizations, bank commissions, account reviews, and variance analysis versus Budget and Forecast.
• Perform revaluation of P&L and Balance Sheet accounts.
• Reconcile SAP books in MXN and USD and review non-workflow journal entries.
• Review and reconcile scrap sales invoices.
• Prepare and support P&L and Balance Sheet financial statements.
• Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation, providing requested information, and coordinating auditor requirements.
• Manage Mexico Travel Card, Concur, and P-Card processes.
• Participate in Budget and Forecast preparation.
• Provide financial support to different departments regarding expenses, account activity, and information required for financial decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable financial standards.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred.
• Public Accountant / Accounting degree preferred.
• Experience with month-end close, Balance Sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis.
• Experience supporting internal and/or external audits, preferred.
• Knowledge of internal controls and compliance.
• SAP skills.
• Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
