Working Hours: 40 hours per week

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Dr in Adult Psychiatry to join our esteemed NHS client’s team in Hove, Sussex. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and compassionate Psychiatrist to contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health services for adults. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately on a short-term contract. This vacancy offers competitive rates.

What will your responsibilities be?

You provide clinical leadership and psychiatric care to adults with diverse mental health needs, conducting thorough assessments, making diagnoses, and developing treatment plans. As a Section 12-approved clinician under the Mental Health Act, you oversee care under the CPA and work closely with multidisciplinary teams. You support junior staff, contribute to service development and governance, and engage families and external agencies to ensure holistic, person-centred care.

Qualifications and Experiences:

• Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
• Inclusion on the Specialist Register for General Adult Psychiatry (or within 6 months of CCT)
• Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status – essential
• Experience working in inpatient and/or community mental health settings
• Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
• Commitment to continuous professional development and clinical governance
