Skilled Radiology Tech to work closely with the CVOR team, Surgeons and patients when performing vascular procedures. The responsibilities will include, but not limited to, maintaining and operating the specialized vascular C-arm equipment to capture the correct area and produce clear images, applying and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of radiation protection and safety practices, maintain regulatory required documentation during/after the procedure, help to prepare and position the patient for surgery, ability to scrub to assist with catheters, wires, stents, etc., assist in the development of new hybrid room, become part of the CVOR team with other responsibilities as assigned. Call requirements - to be determined.

Job Description/Summary:

Skilled Radiology Tech to work closely with the CVOR team, Surgeons and patients when performing vascular procedures. The responsibilities will include, but not limited to, maintaining and operating the specialized vascular C-arm equipment to capture the correct area and produce clear images, applying and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of radiation protection and safety practices, maintain regulatory required documentation during/after the procedure, help to prepare and position the patient for surgery, ability to scrub to assist with catheters, wires, stents, etc., assist in the development of new hybrid room, become part of the CVOR team with other responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Training and Education: 

Associate’s Degree. Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology. Minimum of 1 year work experience.

Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations:  Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

Additional Job Description

Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Work Experience: 0-2 years of modality specific experience required. Current registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). ARRT registration in interventional radiology required within 1 year in position. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
