About the role:
The Veeam Solutions Architect is the technical lead for the Veeam portfolio across Ingram Micro reseller partners, internal sales teams and end customers. The role provides pre-sales leadership, solution architecture, partner enablement and vendor engagement to accelerate growth of the Veeam business. The position is accountable for developing and positioning modern cyber resilience, backup, disaster recovery, Microsoft 365 protection and cloud data protection solutions while acting as a trusted advisor to partners and customers. Success is measured through revenue influence, partner activation, competency achievement, technical enablement outcomes and contribution to strategic business objectives.
Responsibilities & Supporting Actions
Technical Pre-Sales & Solution Architecture
- Lead discovery, solution design, architecture reviews, demonstrations and proof-of-concepts.
- Provide technical pre-sales support to progress and close Veeam opportunities.
- Design enterprise backup, recovery and cyber resilience solutions.
- Act as a subject matter expert across Veeam and data protection.
Partner Enablement & Development
- Develop partner enablement plans to build technical capability and drive Veeam sales.
- Deliver technical workshops, training and enablement sessions.
- Support partner certifications, competencies, specialisations and activation.
- Build strong relationships with partner technical and commercial stakeholders.
Vendor & Go-to-Market Alignment
- Work closely with Veeam and strategic alliance vendors on joint business plans.
- Support vendor priorities, programmes and go-to-market initiatives.
- Translate vendor strategy into opportunities for partners and customers.
- Develop reference architectures and technical collateral to support growth.
Pipeline & Commercial Growth
- Partner with sales teams to identify, qualify and progress Veeam opportunities.
- Drive pipeline creation and revenue growth through technical and consultative engagement.
- Identify opportunities to expand Veeam adoption across partners and customers.
- Contribute to revenue, gross profit and forecast performance.
Technical Expertise & Business Outcomes
- Maintain strong expertise across the Veeam Data Platform, backup, disaster recovery and cyber resilience.
- Apply knowledge of VMware, Hyper-V, Microsoft 365 and hybrid cloud environments where relevant.
- Support Veeam certification, competency and specialisation objectives.
- Contribute to partner activation, vendor business plan objectives and customer satisfaction
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in solution architecture, technical pre-sales, infrastructure, cloud, data protection or a related technology role.
- Demonstrated experience designing enterprise backup, recovery and cyber resilience solutions.
- Strong Veeam Data Platform expertise is highly preferred.
- Experience working with technology partners, vendors, resellers or channel organisations.
- Strong experience in consultative selling and technical pre-sales.
- Excellent presentation, workshop facilitation and communication skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and business planning capability.
- Ability to influence technical and commercial stakeholders and drive outcomes.
- Knowledge of Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365, VMware, Hyper-V and hybrid cloud environments.
