Overview of Role

As a Software Engineer .NET at 66degrees, you will solve complex challenges to build and run AI, analytics, and other mission-critical applications for our clients. This role demands a strong foundation in .NET and working knowledge of Java or Python. You will work within cross-functional teams to develop scalable, cloud-native solutions and contribute to delivering measurable business value.

Responsibilities

• Develop high‑quality .NET Core / .NET 6+ Web APIs using clean architecture and best coding
• practices.
• Build responsive frontend applications using React (preferred) or Angular, TypeScript,
• HTML5, and CSS/SCSS.
• Implement business logic, workflow rules, validations, bulk operations, and API integrations.
• Work with SQL databases (Cloud SQL - PostgreSQL or SQL Server), create optimized queries,indexes, and stored procedures.
• Implement authentication and authorization using JWT, OAuth2, and role‑based access control.
• Integrate with GCP services such as Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Secret Manager, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud Logging, and Cloud Monitoring.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Architecture teams to deliver end‑to‑end features.
• Troubleshoot production issues, improve performance, and ensure application  reliability.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience building applications using .NET Core / .NET 6/7/8.
• Strong understanding of C#, Web API, Entity Framework Core, and REST principles.
• Hands‑on frontend experience with React or Angular.
• Experience with Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL/SQL Server), schema design, and query optimization.
• Familiarity with GCP services: Secret Manager, Cloud Storage, Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, IAM roles, and VPC networks.
• Knowledge of Git and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Cloud Build.
• Understanding of microservices, clean architecture, and SOLID principles.
  
  Good-to-Have Skills
• Knowledge of OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, and structured logging.
• Familiarity with Excel processing libraries (EPPlus/ClosedXML).
• Exposure to writing code through Cursor, Copilot etc.
• Knowledge of Engineering/EPC deliverables.

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• Strong problem‑solving and debugging abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently with ownership of deliverables
