Software Engineer Intern

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Software Engineer Intern to join our engineering team. This internship offers hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining modern enterprise applications while working alongside experienced software engineers.

The ideal candidate is passionate about software development, eager to learn new technologies, and excited to contribute to real-world projects using modern development frameworks, cloud technologies, and AI-powered solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of enterprise web, mobile, and backend applications.

• Learn and apply the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, to production support.

• Learn how to leverage the latest AI technologies and AI coding assistants to accelerate software development, including AI-powered code generation, code review, debugging, refactoring, documentation, and automated testing.

• Gain hands-on experience building applications using modern AI-driven software engineering practices, including Generative AI, Agentic AI, and AI-assisted development workflows.

• Develop new features and enhance existing applications using modern programming languages, frameworks, and cloud technologies.

• Participate in coding, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting activities, while gaining hands-on experience with engineering best practices

• Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, designers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.

• Developing and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating enterprise and third-party services.

• Support database development, including writing SQL queries, data modelling, and application integration.

• Learn and apply Agile methodologies, Git version control, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud-native application development.

• Explore the development of intelligent applications powered by Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Agentic AI, and enterprise AI platforms.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to automate software engineering tasks using AI and modern development tools.

Here's what you need:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Basic understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and software engineering principles.

• Familiarity with one or more programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.

• Basic knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or modern frontend frameworks is an advantage.

• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.

• Basic understanding of REST APIs and client-server architecture.

• Willingness to learn cloud technologies, modern development tools, and enterprise software development practices.

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Ability to commit for at least 6-months for this internship with the potential for perm conversion dependent on performance.

Bonus points if:

• Experience with React, Angular, .NET, Node.js, Java Spring Boot, or React Native through academic or personal projects.

• Exposure to Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.

• Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, or GitHub.

• Knowledge of mobile application development.

• Exposure to SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

• Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or Agentic AI through coursework, hackathons, or personal projects.

• Participation in coding competitions, hackathons, or open-source software contributions.
