In this role, you will work as a senior engineer to develop Cisco's IIoT management strategy, prioritizing a streamlined user experience for network and security management to help customers effectively manage their critical industrial networks. You will lead the design, development, and deployment of various features that integrate ruggedized devices, sensors, applications, and networking equipment to collect, monitor, and analyze industrial operational data. Your work will drive innovation to improve operational efficiency, safety, and security in industrial environments by leveraging Cisco's IIoT technologies and industry best practices.

The Device Management team is a group of high energy, customer focused engineers who bring diverse perspectives and experiences to bear on the toughest engineering challenges.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive an AI-first development approach by integrating AI-assisted coding tools and machine learning models into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to automate routine tasks, improve code quality, and accelerate feature delivery.
• Develop and maintain high-performance, scalable services  (using Full stack - Java, Python, or Golang, React JS, Angular) that integrate seamlessly with our IIoT device management platforms.
• Partner with UX designers, product managers, and backend engineers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and sophisticated user experiences.
• Drive standard processes in front-end and back-end development, including code reviews, unit testing, and performance optimization to ensure low-latency and high-throughput applications.
• Actively participate in an agile development environment, contributing to sprint planning, estimation, and the continuous delivery of software solutions.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 6+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on full-stack development and sophisticated web application architecture.
• Deep proficiency in modern frontend technologies, specifically ReactJS or Angular, with a strong understanding of state management, component architecture, and web performance optimization.
• Backend expertise with solid experience in backend development using Java, Python, or Golang, including the design and consumption of RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with database modeling and technologies such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or relational databases.
• Understanding of IT/OT convergence and the outstanding challenges of managing industrial networks is highly desirable.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• A strong passion for continuous learning, staying current with emerging web technologies, and applying them to solve real-world industrial problems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding and testing workflows.
