Job Role: Video Editor & Social Media Manager
Compensation range: $1,500 - $2,300 AUD/month
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who The Client Is: A boutique, multi-award-winning Australian winery located on a stunning 46-acre property in Victoria’s renowned Mornington Peninsula, just over an hour from Melbourne.
Established in 1989, the winery is situated within an internationally recognised cool-climate wine region, with 23 acres dedicated to vineyards. Known for its award-winning wines and breathtaking panoramic views across Western Port Bay, the property has become a popular tourist destination in its own right.

Role Overview: We are looking for a Video Editor & Social Media Manager to help create engaging content and manage the business's social media presence.
This role will involve editing short-form video content, creating social media posts, and supporting the day-to-day management of the business's social channels.
The ideal candidate is creative, understands social media trends, and can independently turn raw footage and ideas into engaging content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit short-form videos for social media platforms
- Create engaging Reels, TikTok, and other social media content
- Repurpose existing photos and video footage into social media content
- Create and schedule social media posts
- Write or assist with social media captions
- Maintain a consistent visual style and brand presence across social channels
- Assist with content planning and the social media calendar
- Stay up to date with relevant social media trends and content formats
- Monitor basic social media performance and engagement
- Suggest new content ideas and creative approaches
- Organise and manage video, photo, and other creative assets
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in video editing and/or social media management
- Strong experience editing short-form social media content
- Experience managing social media accounts for a business or brand
- Strong understanding of platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and/or YouTube
- Good understanding of social media trends and content formats
- Strong attention to detail and creative judgement
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Good written and verbal English communication skills
- Proactive and comfortable contributing creative ideas
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working with Australian businesses or brands
- Experience in hospitality, tourism, wine, food, lifestyle, or retail
- Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools
- Experience creating Reels, TikToks, and other short-form content
- Basic understanding of social media analytics
- Experience with social media scheduling tools
- Experience with photography or basic graphic design
Portfolio Requirement:
- Candidates should provide examples of previous video editing and/or social media work, including short-form videos where possible.
