About the role

You will plan and run social media for clients in sports. You will be the client's day-to-day contact for social media and bring match days, big events and sports news to life in real time, grow fan communities and turn live moments into content that fans want to share.

You will report to the Account Director.

What you'll do

• Be the day-to-day social media contact for your sports clients, and turn their needs into plans.
• Shape a social media strategy for each client, with clear goals and KPIs.
• Plan match-day and event coverage, and create real-time content around games, results and big moments.
• Build content calendars, create daily content (copy, images, short-form video) and publish it across platforms.
• Grow and manage fan communities, and respond quickly to sports news and trends.
• Prepare monthly reports with numbers and insights, and present them to clients.
• Monitor competitors, sports trends and fan audiences, and run benchmarks.
• Work closely with the Creative, Performance and Client Service teams, and escalate issues to the Account Director.
• Use AI tools every day in content, reporting and research, and suggest new tools and ways of working to the team.

• Shaping the client plan.
• New content ideas and formats.
• Pitches and new proposals, from a social media point of view.
• Better internal content and community management processes.

Requirements

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of experience in social media management, ideally within a creative, advertising or digital agency.
• Hands-on knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube, and of what works on each platform.
• Experience with content planning and analytics tools, such as Meta Business Suite.
• Strong copywriting skills in Greek and English.
• Ability to manage several accounts at the same time.
• Strong understanding of the sports landscape and fan culture.
• Ability to react fast to live sporting moments.
• Confident, independent use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Canva and CapCut to work faster and better, and the curiosity to suggest new ones to the team.
• Clear communication, strong organization and a proactive attitude.
• Professional-level Greek and fluent English (written and spoken).

Nice to have

• Experience working with sports clubs, leagues, athletes or sports brands.
• Experience creating short-form video (Reels, TikTok).
• Basic knowledge of paid social.
• Experience with social listening tools.
