Job Description
Typical duties may include but are not limited to:
- Coordinates the planning and implementation of SLCE events and initiatives, including logistics, volunteers, outreach, communications, community partner engagement, and related administrative needs, in collaboration with the SLCE team and campus and community partners.
- Coordinates marketing and design efforts for team members and their respective initiatives, programs, and goals, working collaboratively with university marketing and office team members to plan, develop, design, execute, revise, and update marketing materials and promotional and outreach efforts to support attendance and engagement goals.
- Partners with SLCE team members to understand the goals, objectives, and vision of their respective events, initiatives, and programs and translates those needs into effective event, marketing, and design support aligned with department goals.
- Plans and assists with all events, workshops, meetings, and trainings, including but not limited to the recruitment of event volunteers, promotion of events, space reservations, and other event logistics.
- Assists with the management of office budget and serves as a point of contact for office purchasing.
- Serves as a point of contact for and assists community partners connecting with FGCU specifically for the purpose of attending, supporting, and/or engaging with SLCE through events.
- Coordinates outreach and promotional activities for SLCE events and initiatives, utilizing print and digital communications to engage students, faculty, staff, and community partners and support event participation and departmental goals.
- Collects and reviews post-event information and feedback and provides data and recommendations related to event outcomes, participation, and stated objectives to support future planning and program improvement.
- Coordinates the collection, organization, and archival of photos, marketing materials, planning documents, and budget records from each event. Maintains these materials in Google Drive, OneDrive, and other secure cloud-based systems to ensure they are organized and accessible for future reference.
- Assists with the service-learning email inbox, office phone calls, voicemails, and student walk-ins.
- Assists with tabling promotion opportunities across campus.
- Provides support for additional departmental activities and initiatives, assisting the SLCE team with operational and programmatic needs as priorities arise and contributing to the successful implementation of office goals.
- Monitors compliance with college and departmental policies and procedures.
- May occasionally attend community events and other local networking events as needed to assist with recruiting additional community partners.
- May hire, train, evaluate and supervise OPS staff, volunteers, and student assistants.
- May assist with community partner database management and management of student service-learning forms in Eagle Service Network.

Required Qualifications:
- This position requires either eight years of directly related full-time experience or, as an alternative, a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of full-time experience directly related to the job functions.
- Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
