We are seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineer to spearhead our water, wastewater, and stormwater design efforts in the Kansas City region. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the growth of our water resources practice in the area. In this role, you will help shape the vision and direction of our services in the region, backed by the full support of our company-wide water resources and civil engineering teams. You’ll have the opportunity to pursue and manage complex water, wastewater, and stormwater projects, mentor and develop staff, and collaborate with experts across multiple disciplines. Key Responsibilities Include:
- Coordinating and collaborating with senior leaders on client management and strategic business development for water resources engineering services within Western Missouri and Kansas.
- Driving efforts to expand the water resources engineering services in the region.
- Pursuing new business opportunities through relationships, professional organizations, etc.
- Providing leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities for junior staff.
- Generating project proposals and participating in project interviews in coordination with marketing staff and senior leadership.
- Serving as a project manager on a variety of water resources projects.
- Developing project goals, scopes of work, and budgets to guide project activities.
- Producing high-quality deliverables and providing QC/QA.
- Keeping abreast of emerging trends in the industry.
- As opportunities and demands present themselves, this role may perform other responsibilities related to the position.
