As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and building scalable backend solutions that power our furnishing contractor platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges, drive architectural decisions, and deliver impactful features. Beyond coding, you will mentor engineers, promote engineering excellence, and contribute to building a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement.

YOU WILL

• Own and deliver quarterly engineering goals while leading your team through complex, open-ended technical challenges.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Data Analysts throughout the product development lifecycle, helping shape solutions by balancing technical constraints, risks, and business needs.
• Identify technical, process, and business improvement opportunities, advocate for change, and lead initiatives to address them.
• Ensure the reliability and availability of your team's services by monitoring key metrics, supporting operational excellence, and participating in on-call rotations.
• Drive engineering best practices by improving code review processes, design standards, and promoting high-quality software development across teams.
• Mentor and support fellow engineers by providing constructive feedback, sharing knowledge, and leading by example.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and delivering large-scale backend systems using Python, Kotlin, or similar technologies.
• Proven experience building highly available distributed systems using technologies such as AWS, MySQL, and Spark.
• Strong system design skills with the ability to define technical solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and extensible.
• Experience working within large codebases, implementing significant changes safely through robust engineering practices and tooling.
• A strong sense of ownership and a proactive approach to personal and professional growth, including actively seeking and applying feedback.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across globally distributed engineering teams.
