À propos de ce poste Senior Social Media Manager chez Starling

Starling · Sur site · London, England, United Kingdom

Hello, we’re Starling. We built a new kind of bank because we knew technology had the power to help people save, spend and manage their money in a new and transformative way. We’re a fully licensed UK bank with the culture and spirit of a fast-moving, disruptive tech company. We’re a bank, but better: fairer, easier to use and designed to demystify money for everyone. We employ more than 3,500 people across our London, Southampton, Cardiff and Manchester offices.

We are looking for a Senior Social Media Manager to join our Brand Strategy team - a group dedicated to building our brand narrative, standing out in the industry, and creating lasting relevance across every channel.

In this role, you will expand our brand story across social platforms, with a primary focus on bringing it to life authentically and ubiquitously through creator content. This involves sourcing and collaborating with the best creator talent, delivering sharp creative briefs, and guiding partners to communicate our brand in the most impactful way.

The ideal candidate brings an exceptional grasp of platform best practices, algorithms, and measurement frameworks, alongside proven expertise in budget management and agency oversight. Fluid collaboration across cross-functional teams - including media, creative, performance, affiliates, and product marketing - is essential. Additionally, you will oversee content approvals and compliance processes, developing a deep understanding of our product suite to effectively highlight how we help our customers be good with money.

This role will close at 12pm on 5th November.

Key Responsibilities

Social expertise:

  • Deep passion for social media and understanding of trends, algorithms and best practices.
  • Ability to define and implement measurement systems to help demonstrate the value of social work for brand building.
  • Ability to break down other brands social media strategies, learn from it and implement learnings in a way that’s relevant to our business and brand.
  • Ability to think always-on and not just campaign first to make the brand ubiquitous across social channels - not just in owned but also in earned and shared.

Agency and budget management:

  • Manage multi-stakeholder projects across internal and external teams.
  • Own timelines and budgets to deliver accurately and on time - transparently.
  • Collaborate with other internal teams across media and performance to maximise usage of creative outputs.

Craft and creative output excellence:

  • Ability to judge creative work, tone and style to align with our brand voice and guidelines.
  • Apply taste and understanding of the brand to creator selection and finding the sweet spot between their voice and ours.

What to expect

Creativity and collaboration

We’re growing fast – and no two days here at Starling are quite the same. We care about getting stuff done, not process, and our culture is decidedly entrepreneurial in spirit (you’ll be encouraged to pitch your ideas, however big or bold!). It’s a fast-paced, exciting and creative place to work where there’s plenty of collaboration and ownership of your own projects.

Great tech

As you’d expect from a technology company, we’ll make sure you have all the tools you need to get your job done – and that they’re the very best in the business. We work on MacBooks and you’ll receive anything else you might need on request.

An open approach

Lots of companies talk about transparency – but it’s something we really care about. We communicate and collaborate through Slack, including a channel dedicated to updates from the leadership team.

But wait... there’s more

It’s important to us there’s more to life here than just work, so get to know your colleagues at socials, cheese & wine nights or learning lunches. Enjoy fresh fruit and coffee every day, free breakfasts and Perkbox, through which we offer the Cycle to Work scheme and salary-sacrificed gym memberships. We also offer private health insurance for all employees.

We offer 33 days holiday (including public hols), plus an extra day on your birthday; you also get 16 hours of paid leave a year to do voluntary work.
