  • Create, maintain, and administer incentive compensation plans, including quotas, crediting rules, accelerators, SPIFFs, bonuses, and other plan components.
  • Manage commission calculations and quota adjustments for new hires, ramp periods, promotions, leaves of absence, terminations, and other employee changes.
  • Review and validate commission and VCT calculations, including NRR/GRR, bonuses, MBOs, FX calculations, and other incentive programs; investigate and resolve discrepancies, adjustments, and disputes.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, HR, Sales Operations, and other cross-functional stakeholders to validate quotas, employee eligibility, attainment, bookings, revenue, and commission results.
  • Support annual sales compensation plan design and implementation, including new commissionable roles, plan modeling, documentation, system configuration, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, and reconciliations for commissions, quota attainment, commission spend, forecasting, trends, and plan effectiveness.
  • Audit Salesforce and Tableau data and maintain appropriate controls, reconciliations, and backup documentation to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and auditability of commission calculations.
  • Support global sales compensation requirements, including commissions across multiple currencies and FX rates.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve processes for specialized commission calculations, including expansion credits, ARR churn, MSP commissions, duplicate opportunities, and other complex compensation scenarios.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual commission processes and develop solutions using macros and other tools to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Create and maintain commission process documentation, standard operating procedures, checklists, and training materials, and serve as a subject matter expert on sales compensation processes and policies.
  • Communicate compensation plan changes, commission results, and other compensation information to Sales leaders, individual contributors, HR, Talent Acquisition, Sales Operations, and other stakeholders.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements that increase the accuracy, efficiency, transparency, and scalability of sales compensation operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in sales compensation, commissions, financial analysis, revenue operations, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting a sales organization, including working with multiple currencies and FX rates.
  • Strong understanding of sales compensation concepts, including quotas, attainment, crediting, accelerators, rates, draws, splits, and clawbacks.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, lookup formulas, conditional logic, data validation, and reconciliation techniques.
  • Experience working with commission or incentive compensation systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
