We are looking for an Automation Specialist to design, implement, and support enterprise automation and workload scheduling solutions within a large-scale mainframe environment. The role focuses on improving operational efficiency, reducing manual intervention, and ensuring stable batch processing.

Who You Are

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support automation platforms.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and scheduling processes.
• Design automated monitoring and recovery procedures.
• Implement workload scheduling standards.
• Troubleshoot production scheduling and automation issues.
• Collaborate with operations and infrastructure teams.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity testing.
• Drive process optimization initiatives.
• Maintain automation documentation and standards.

Required Experience

• 5–10+ years in mainframe operations or systems programming.
• 3–5+ years working with enterprise automation solutions.
• Experience supporting mission-critical production environments.

Technical Skills

IBM Technologies

• IBM System Automation (SA z/OS).
• IBM NetView.
• IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) / IBM Workload Scheduler.

CA/Broadcom Technologies

• AutoSys.
• CA OPS/MVS.
• CA 7.
• CA Workload Automation products.

General

• z/OS.
• JCL.
• TSO/ISPF.
• REXX.
• JES2/JES3.
• Mainframe batch scheduling.

Preferred Skills

• Automation framework design.
