You’ll use your networks to stay ahead of the curve, spotting trends and turning them into stories that matter. With an eye for analytics, you’ll follow up popular stories with fresh angles, ensuring your work continues to captivate audiences and deliver results.

Who are you?

• Successful news reporter with at least five years experience in a busy digital newsroom

• Passionate about breaking stories and finding exclusive angles on the topics dominating the national agenda

• Highly motivated and full of ideas, with strong contacts that help you break yarns

• Strong writing skills and an understanding of how to use headlines and pictures to hook readers. A desire to have your stories widely-read is a must

• Sound working legal knowledge

• Comfortable working independently and sourcing your own stories 

• An interest in engaging with and ‘owning’ the finance topics news.com.au readers love

• Understand SEO and analytics
