À propos de ce poste Senior QA Engineer chez Dodge Construction Network
Dodge Construction Network (Dodge) is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to own quality across a product area of our platform, from the user-facing web application down to the data it produces. This is a hands-on senior role: you’ll set the test strategy for your area, write and maintain automation, and do the structured manual and exploratory testing that automation can’t replace. Much of our product is data-processing and workflow logic, so correctness here means the right records, in the right state, with the right values, not just a page that renders. You’ll verify that directly in the database, test APIs and integrations, keep test suites reliable in CI/CD, and extend quality into performance and application security. You’ll work closely with developers and product, and your defect reports, test plans, and risk assessments will be clear enough that people can act on them without a follow-up conversation.
This is a full-time position and reports directly to the VP, Data Platform.
Preferred Location
Qualified candidates should be based in or near Kochi and able to work from our Kochi office as part of a hybrid schedule.
Travel Requirements
Expected travel is minimal for this role.
Essential Functions
- Own quality for an assigned product area end to end: define the test strategy, decide what to automate versus test manually, and be accountable for release readiness
- Design, build, and maintain automated end-to-end and UI tests using a modern browser automation framework (Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, or equivalent), working directly in the product codebase
- Plan and run structured manual and exploratory testing sessions to uncover edge cases, usability issues, and failure modes that scripted tests miss
- Test REST APIs and service integrations using automated suites and tools such as Postman, covering contract, functional, and negative scenarios
- Verify data-processing and workflow outcomes with SQL, writing joins across staging and production tables to confirm that pipelines produce the correct records, states, and values
- Create, manage, and reset test data independently to support repeatable, reliable test runs
- Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast, stable, and trustworthy over time, actively addressing flaky tests and coverage gaps
- Design and execute performance and load tests with tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or Locust, including defining realistic load profiles, analysing results, and identifying bottlenecks
- Write precise, reproducible defect reports and clear test documentation that developers can act on immediately
- Partner with engineering and product early in the development cycle to review requirements, identify risk, and build testability into features
- Raise the quality bar across the team by sharing practices, reviewing test code, and mentoring others in testing approaches
Education Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and work experience.
Required Experience, Knowledge and Skills
- 5+ years in QA, with real seniority: you've owned quality for a product area, not just executed someone else's test plan
- Solid experience testing web applications end to end, combining hands-on automation with structured manual and exploratory testing. We need both; candidates who only do one will struggle here.
- You write code. Proficiency in at least one automation language (TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Java or similar) and comfort working in a real codebase.
- Hands-on with a modern browser automation framework (Playwright, Selenium WebDriver or equivalent) and with API testing (REST clients, Postman or similar)
- Strong SQL. Non-negotiable — you'll be writing joins across staging and production tables to verify what the pipeline produced, and building and resetting your own test data.
- Experience testing data-processing or workflow systems where correctness means "the right records, in the right state, with the right values" rather than "the page rendered"
- Experience integrating test suites into CI/CD and keeping them reliable over time
- Performance testing with a real tool (JMeter, Gatling, Locust) — able to design a load profile, not just run one
- Clear, precise written communication. A defect report a developer can act on without a follow-up conversation is a skill, and we value it.
