À propos de ce poste Senior QA Automation Engineer chez Epignosis
At Epignosis our mission is simple yet bold: To make learning technologies accessible to every business, regardless of geography, sector, or company size. And we’ve been doing just that for more than a decade, empowering millions of people to grow, learn, and thrive through technology that’s both powerful and affordable.
We're rapidly becoming one of Greece's largest SaaS companies, serving 12,000+ companies and 22+ million learners worldwide with solutions like TalentLMS (an award-winning cloud LMS built for simplicity), eFront (an enterprise LMS), TalentCards (a mobile app for deskless training), and TalentHR (a lightweight HRIS for people operations).
Our success is built on a team that believes that work should matter — not only to you, but to the world around you. We're looking for people who light up when solving hard problems, who care deeply about their craft, and who want to build something that genuinely helps people grow.
We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our Quality Platform team at Epignosis, working on TalentLMS. In this role, you'll help build, maintain, and evolve our automation framework — the backbone of test automation across our product teams. You'll design and execute automated test scenarios, collaborate closely with QA chapter peers and engineering teams to prioritize and troubleshoot issues, and contribute hands-on to raising the bar on quality across the organization. Manual and exploratory testing will also be part of your remit when necessary.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will:
- Partner with our development teams — spanning product teams, the AI team, architecture, and the frontend chapter — to define test scope and align automation coverage with each team's priorities and release goals.
- Collaborate with QA chapter members to maintain consistency, reusability, and quality standards across the shared automation framework — including shared step definitions, naming conventions, and scenario design patterns.
- Work with team and chapter leads to prioritize automation work based on risk, release timelines, and coverage gaps — balancing competing requests across teams.
- Actively contribute to the evolution of our shared Cypress tool — improving reliability, execution speed, and maintainability, and helping extend its capabilities (e.g., API test coverage, reusable step libraries, AI-assisted test designs and operations) as team needs grow.
- Design and develop well-structured test scripts for assigned features, ensuring the scripts are readable, maintainable, and reusable across the shared framework — then execute and monitor them as part of CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze test failures to distinguish genuine defects from flaky tests or environment issues, and collaborate with developers to diagnose root causes and drive fixes.
- Perform manual and exploratory testing when necessary.
- Constantly educate yourself! We encourage and promote training, upskilling, and staying current with emerging practices like AI-augmented testing.
Requirements
To be successful in this role as a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you should have:
- 5+ years of professional experience working with web and API test automation.
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as JavaScript (preferably), Python, PHP, or Java.
- Solid grounding in QA methodologies and test design techniques with the ability to apply them pragmatically.
- Solid hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks, such as Cypress (preferably), Playwright, Cucumber, etc.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities — able to diagnose root causes of failures efficiently and maintain attention to detail across large, shared test suites.
- Familiarity with shift-left testing and agile testing practices, with a genuine interest in AI-augmented testing approaches (e.g., AI-assisted test generation, self-healing tests, or intelligent test maintenance).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Nice to have
- BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with using Postman/Swagger.
- Experience with virtualization or containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, and CI/CD tools like GitHub actions.
- ISTQB foundation/advanced level certification.
