Job Description Summary

The Project Planning Digital Transformation & Scheduling Systems Leader is a critical hybrid role responsible for designing, maintaining, and continuously improving the digital scheduling ecosystem that enables integrated project planning and execution across ITO and OTR.

This role combines deep Primavera P6 scheduling expertise, project controls process knowledge, automation capability, enterprise systems understanding, and data-driven analytics to support the One Project Schedule (OPS) operating model and wider planning transformation.

The role will act as a bridge between Planning & Scheduling, Engineering, Equipment Planning, Project Management, Factory teams, IT/UDC developers, PLM, PMx, Data Lake, and other enterprise tool owners. The position will lead the development and governance of scheduling tools, automation workflows, system integrations, dashboards, and data quality controls required to support baseline creation, schedule updates, project readiness, proposal analysis, field test learnings, and execution reporting.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. OPS Digital Scheduling Architecture

  • Own and support the digital architecture required to enable the OPS scheduling model across projects.

  • Maintain and enhance the Primavera P6 enterprise scheduling setup required for integrated Engineering, Equipment, Factory, Logistics, PM Key Dates, and project baseline schedules.

  • Support OPS template governance, baseline schedule creation, rebaseline workflows, and schedule update/reporting processes.

  • Ensure scheduling architecture supports integrated logic, cross-product dependencies, PM Key Dates, CUD/Vendoc requirements, and baseline readiness.

  • Partner with planning, engineering, equipment, and tool teams to convert field test learnings into repeatable digital scheduling solutions.

2. Primavera P6 Administration & Enterprise Scheduling Support

  • Provide advanced Primavera P6 expertise across EPS/OBS structure, project codes, activity codes, calendars, baselines, layouts, global changes, user access, and schedule configuration.

  • Support P6 project creation, template copying, baseline assignment, project coding, and integration readiness.

  • Troubleshoot P6 issues related to scheduling options, F9 simulation, constraints, loops, negative float, baseline mismatches, and integration failures.

  • Ensure P6 data structures are compatible with downstream tools such as GER, OTD Tracker, PMx, PLM, dashboards, and reporting environments.

  • Support controlled deployment of P6 configuration changes in alignment with governance requirements.

3. Tool Development, Automation & Integration

  • Lead or support development of automation tools that reduce manual planning effort and improve schedule quality.

  • Partner with UDC / IT / development teams to define requirements, test solutions, validate outputs, and manage deployment of planning tools.

  • Support integrations between P6 and enterprise systems such as PLM, PMx, Data Lake, UDC, OTD Tracker, LTDB, Vendoc/CDH loaders, and reporting dashboards.

  • Handle complex TK and EEP projects scheduling during ITO phase including coordination with Partners, support deal teams for discussions with Customer during clarification phase.

  • Help strengthen ITO-to-OTR handover by ensuring proposal assumptions, standard cycles, customer commitments, and OPS schedule logic are aligned.

  • ITO analysis tools and dashboards maintenance / upgrade to compare contractual commitments against OPS/LTDB standard cycles.

  • Identify disconnects between as-sold dates, standard cycles, and execution templates before OTR baseline development.

  • Provide analytical support for proposal risk reviews, schedule feasibility checks, and planning assumptions.

5. Data Quality, Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop and maintain data quality checks for schedule readiness, baseline completeness, project codes, activity coding, MLI mapping, baseline type, and reporting eligibility.

  • Support dashboards and analytics for schedule health, readiness gates, negative float, critical path, variance, cycle compliance, and tool sync status.

  • Partner with reporting and data teams to ensure schedule data is accurately extracted, transformed, and consumed by downstream reporting tools.

  • Support root cause analysis when projects do not appear correctly in trackers, dashboards, GER, OTD, or PMx/PLM reporting.

  • Create structured diagnostics and issue-resolution playbooks for recurring tool and data problems.

6. Governance, Process & Standardization

  • Support creation and maintenance of QMS / governance documents for OPS tools, template management, baseline creation, rebaseline, reporting, and integrations.

  • Define standard work instructions for tool users, planners, schedulers, and functional teams.

  • Support monthly working team reviews and quarterly governance reviews for OPS tools and scheduling architecture.

  • Maintain clear RACI alignment between Planning, Engineering, Equipment, Factory, PM, IT/UDC, and tool owners.
