This is a great time to join us!
The Role
Product development at Nabla is led jointly by Engineering and Product and organized into cross-functional squads. Each squad owns a product area end to end, with a product manager, a group of engineers, and the subject matter experts the work requires.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to take ownership of the Dictation squad: a product that clinicians touch many times a day, that is critical to their day to day efficiency, and strategically pairs with Nabla's ambient product to cover all user settings.
This role sits at the intersection of ML, user experience, and customer success. You will work day to day with ML, backend, and frontend engineers on a product where model performance is only half the story. The other half is the interface, the latency, the recovery path when something goes wrong, and the dozens of small frictions that decide whether a clinician keeps using the product or quietly walks away. You will also be the one who pulls the right insight out of user feedback and supports the rollout of the product inside large health systems. Expect to reason about model quality and evaluation with your ML engineers one hour, then join a design review, dig through user feedback, or sit down with a client the next.
Above all, this is a role for someone with genuine curiosity about how clinicians work. You will spend real time with users, including regular visits to client sites in the US, watching how they move through their day and where our product costs them seconds they cannot spare. The best ideas here come from observation.
Nabla is growing fast and our users expect more of us every day. If you like owning a product end to end, care about the details, and want your work judged by whether clinicians actually adopt it, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Nabla Dictation product, be accountable for its adoption and the quality-of-life improvements it delivers to clinicians.
Lead user-centric discovery: run interviews, dig into user feedback, shadow clinicians, and leverage usage data to find the frictions worth removing.
Work day to day with ML, backend, and frontend engineers to turn model capabilities into a product that becomes essential to clinician's day to day, making the trade-offs between quality, latency, cost, and time to market.
Partner with Design to make sophisticated technology feel simple, including the edge cases and failure paths that determine whether clinicians trust it.
Support deployment with our clients, including enterprise health systems: build strong relationships with Nabla champions and keep key stakeholders informed as the product evolves.
Define what good looks like: set the quality bar and the metrics that track it, from model performance through to adoption, retention, and support burden.
Prioritize ruthlessly between ambitious bets and the steady grind of removing friction, and be able to explain why.
Qualifications
Requirements:
5+ years of product management experience in a technical or engineering-heavy environment.
Experience working closely with ML teams on products where model quality drives user value, and comfort discussing evaluation, quality metrics, and iteration loops with ML engineers.
Strong user empathy and a real appetite for diving deep into user workflows, with a track record of removing friction that others had accepted as normal.
Excellent product judgment and UX sensibility: you identify the high-value problems, define a strategy, and ship improvements users actually notice.
Proven ability to collaborate with frontend, backend, and ML engineers and to earn credibility with them.
Strong analytical skills: you define success metrics, read product data, and combine qualitative and quantitative evidence to decide.
Clear, structured communication, with the ability to explain trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences alike.
Comfort in a fast-moving environment with incomplete information, competing priorities, and high ownership.
Location and language: based in our Paris office, with regular travel to client sites in the US. Full professional fluency in English is required; French is a plus.
Nice to have:
Experience in healthcare, or in another regulated or safety-critical industry.
Experience with speech, real-time, or other latency-sensitive products.
Prior software engineering experience, or the ability to write scripts and reason about system logs, API schemas, and data models.
Experience with B2B products used every day in demanding frontline workflows.
Experience building for the US market.
