Job Title: Senior Solution Consultant

The job
This is a presales role, with responsibility for supporting sales opportunities with new prospects and existing customers. Focused on the areas of real time operational data management from the edge to enterprise including data collection, transformation, contextualization and visualization and the use of advanced analytics and AI/ML models on this operational data to provide insights and optimization. The job is primarily customer facing and requires a desired balance of professional presales skills, technology application to solve client requirements, and industry knowledge of our markets.
The Senior Presales Consultant must be able to identify and articulate the customer’s key business requirements and develop these into a compelling solution offering. They will then be able to clearly, concisely and professionally present, demonstrate and prove the solution and the value they bring to the customer.
The Senior Presales Consultant is an integral and highly visible member of the Northern European Presales team. They will be a key contributor to the growth of the business within the region, providing outstanding consultancy and pre-sales support. Primarily working with the regional sales teams, the position also requires close interaction with product management, product development and marketing, as well as customer support and services. This position reports directly to the Presales Manager for Northern Europe.
Key responsibilities
- Become trusted partner for customers focusing on Edge to Enterprise solutions including AVEVA PI System, AVEVA Flows, AVEVA Connect and AVEVA Advanced Analytics
- Define the customer-specific Solution based requirements and alignment with AVEVA solutions
- Present the solution using a blend of presentation and live demonstration
- Lead pre-sales activities relating to preliminary solution architecture definition
- Support definition workshops involving cross-functional teams to define the solution architecture and system level interfaces and data flows
- Contribute to technical proposals
- Support proof of concepts and/or pilots
- Educate customers and partners on new products & best practices
- Be a critical input channel to product management and marketing on any aspect of the products, marketplace, and most importantly, the customer perspective
Essential requirements
- Several years in an industrial software / data analytics space.
- Strong experience in Consulting, Technical Sales, Technical Support or Solution Delivery with proven experience in defining and developing industrial operational data systems.
- An understanding of AI/ML models and techniques in the context of industrial applications.
- Industry knowledge (based on industries covered) and thorough working knowledge of products and solutions within operations data management, operational optimization and industrial data analytics.
- Understands the positioning of the AVEVA solutions portfolio and can use this knowledge to design the most appropriate architecture and technology, guiding the customer to AVEVA’s solutions is a plus
- Aptitude for problem solving, innovative thinking in a sustainable way. Strong problem solving aptitude and ready to accept new challenges to manage internal and external customer expectations
