À propos de ce poste Senior Paid Marketing Manager chez Ashby

Ashby · Télétravail · Remote - US

Hi 👋 I'm Harriet, and I lead Marketing at Ashby.

We've built a business with 5,500+ customers, a highly differentiated product, and a brand that people genuinely care about. We've invested in content, customer stories, community, and the foundations of a strong marketing program. Now, we have an opportunity to build a much bigger paid engine to support our next stage of growth.

We're looking for a Senior Paid Marketing Manager to build it.

You'll take ownership of our existing LinkedIn program and expand across Meta, Google Search, YouTube, and other channels. You'll have meaningful budget, strong creative and technical partners, and the autonomy to build a program that creates qualified pipeline and strengthens our brand.

This is a hands-on role. We want someone who knows their channels inside out, enjoys getting into the details, and can take a campaign from initial hypothesis through execution, analysis, and optimization. You'll have access to specialist support when it makes sense, but you'll be the person driving the work.

We also believe AI creates an opportunity for exceptional individual contributors to do work that previously required much larger teams. We're looking for someone who is already exploring that opportunity and wants to push it further.

What makes this role interesting

You get to build with the resources most marketers wish they had.

Paid is relatively underdeveloped at Ashby compared with the scale of our business. You get to build something substantial without unwinding years of accumulated complexity or fighting for the resources to make it work. We have strong content, customer proof, product differentiation, and an established brand. You'll start with a monthly budget in the hundreds of thousands of dollars and the support of our design, web, and RevOps teams.

You can rethink how paid marketing gets done.

We want to enable exceptional individual contributors to accomplish more through AI, automation, and better workflows. You'll have the freedom to experiment with new tools, build systems that improve your output, and challenge established ways of working.

You'll build a program that makes the brand and business stronger.

We believe great paid marketing combines analytical rigor with creative judgment. You'll optimize for pipeline and efficiency while building campaigns that earn attention, communicate our differentiation, and give the right buyers a reason to care about Ashby. We don't want a lead-generation machine that makes our brand worse.

What you'll own

Build and scale our paid program. Own strategy and execution across LinkedIn, Meta, and Google Search, expanding into YouTube and other channels as opportunities emerge. Prioritize audiences, develop campaign hypotheses, manage budgets, and turn promising experiments into repeatable sources of qualified pipeline.

Drive creative strategy and experimentation. Develop campaign concepts, write ad copy, brief creative, and shape landing-page tests. Work closely with design, content, and product marketing to produce distinctive work. Build a disciplined testing cadence across audiences, creative, offers, and conversion paths, knowing when to scale, iterate, or stop.

Use AI to increase your impact. Build practical workflows using AI, agents, and automation to improve research, creative iteration, campaign operations, and analysis. We want someone who actively experiments with new approaches, evaluates their effectiveness, and turns what works into repeatable systems.

Own measurement and performance. Drive our approach to paid measurement in partnership with RevOps. Establish the signals and reporting needed to understand qualified reach, conversion, pipeline contribution, and efficiency. Develop better ways to assess incrementality, make informed decisions with imperfect attribution, and translate performance data into clear investment recommendations.

Connect campaigns to the buyer journey. Partner with sales, lifecycle, and ABM to understand what makes an opportunity valuable and how paid can influence the journey from first touch through pipeline. Adapt messaging and investment to our customer segments and markets.

What you'll work on in your first six months

  • Take ownership of LinkedIn, identifying opportunities to improve qualified reach, creative, and progression into pipeline.

  • Build and scale Meta, establishing a strong creative testing cadence and the landing pages and follow-up needed to make the channel work.

  • Expand Google Search and launch YouTube, evaluating additional channels where there's a compelling audience and learning opportunity.

  • Establish a stronger operating system for paid, including AI-enabled workflows, measurement, and a clear approach to allocating investment.

The goal isn't to scale every channel equally. It's to build a broad set of opportunities, learn quickly, and concentrate investment where the evidence is strongest.

What we're looking for

We care more about what you've built and how you think than the number of years you've spent in marketing.

  • You're a domain expert in paid media. You have deep, hands-on expertise in LinkedIn, Meta, and Google Ads. You understand the platforms, know how to structure and optimize campaigns, and can explain how your decisions have influenced qualified pipeline. You've personally built and scaled programs in sales-led B2B SaaS.

  • You're a builder, not just a strategist. You're excited to get into the accounts, develop the creative, run experiments, investigate performance, and solve problems yourself. You know when external expertise can help, but you don't need an agency to do the core work.

  • You combine analytical rigor with creative taste. You understand performance metrics and experimentation, but you also know what makes advertising compelling. You can connect campaign decisions to buyer quality and pipeline without losing sight of the brand you're building.

  • You're already changing how you work with AI. You can demonstrate how you've used AI tools, agents, or automation to improve your output. You think critically about where automation helps, how to evaluate its results, and how to turn useful experiments into repeatable workflows.

  • You take ownership of measurement. You can work with CRM data, establish useful performance reporting, investigate attribution limitations, and drive better measurement approaches rather than waiting for someone else to provide the answers. You own budgeting and explain the case for reallocating investment.

  • You're a strong cross-functional partner. You work well with sales, design, content, product marketing, and RevOps. You seek out context, share what you learn, and care about the overall customer experience rather than optimizing your own channel in isolation.

Experience with YouTube, display, and programmatic is valuable, as is familiarity with HubSpot and measurement platforms like Dreamdata. You don't need to have mastered every channel, but you should have the expertise and judgment to expand beyond your core strengths.

This isn't the right role for you if

  • You prefer managing agencies to building campaigns. You want to set the strategy and have other people execute it, rather than getting into the details yourself.

  • You measure success primarily through platform metrics. You're satisfied with lower CPCs or more leads without understanding whether you're reaching the right buyers or contributing to pipeline.

  • You treat brand and performance as separate disciplines. You optimize individual campaigns without considering how the work shapes a prospect's perception of Ashby or contributes to long-term demand.

  • You haven't meaningfully changed how you work with AI. You're interested in the topic but haven't experimented with workflows, tools, or automation that improve your output.

  • You rely on other people to supply the ideas. You need a content team to hand you finished assets, a creative team to develop every concept, or an agency to tell you what to test next.

  • You prefer a proven playbook to an open-ended problem. You'd rather repeat an established formula than question assumptions, explore new opportunities, and work out what makes sense for this business.

  • You optimize your channel at the expense of the bigger picture. You don't enjoy collaborating with other teams or taking responsibility for the experience beyond the ad click.

We want someone who takes real pride in their craft, is generous with their expertise, and is excited to build something that the whole team can be proud of.

The tools you'll work with

Our core stack includes LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, HubSpot, and Dreamdata, alongside AI-assisted tools for research, creative development, analysis, and automation.

You'll also have access to design, web, and RevOps support, as well as specialist external partners when they can add meaningful value.

You don't need experience with every tool. You do need to be comfortable evaluating new ones, building useful workflows, and working independently with performance data.

A little about working at Ashby

We value thoughtful, ambitious people who take ownership, communicate clearly, and keep improving. We give people meaningful responsibility and expect them to exercise good judgment in how they use it.

We're deliberate about how we work. We believe strong teams can accomplish a lot without unnecessary process, layers of management, or endless meetings. We make time for considered thinking, direct feedback, and the kind of collaboration that makes the work better.

If that sounds like an environment where you'd do your best work, we'd love to hear from you.
