The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Modeller to join our Building Services team and support the delivery of a diverse range of building and infrastructure projects. Working closely with engineers, project teams, and other disciplines, you will be responsible for developing high-quality 2D and 3D design documentation using Revit and AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with project requirements, Australian Standards, and quality assurance processes. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute technical expertise, mentor junior team members, and play a key role in the successful delivery of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver detailed 2D drawings and 3D models from concept through to detailed design using Revit and AutoCAD.  

• Produce mechanical services documentation including floor plans, plant room layouts, schematics, sections, elevations, details, and as-built drawings.  

• Ensure all drawings and models comply with company standards, quality requirements, client specifications, Australian Standards, and NCC requirements.  

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and resolve design, spatial, and clash detection issues.  

• Perform quality assurance reviews and self-check all documentation before issue.  

• Provide technical guidance and support to junior modellers and designers.  

• Support BIM coordination activities and contribute to the successful delivery of project documentation.  

• Monitor project deliverables and work efficiently to meet project deadlines and budgets.  

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and share best-practice modelling techniques across the team

We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Modeller who thrives in a collaborative project environment and is passionate about delivering accurate, coordinated, and high-quality building services models. You will bring strong technical modelling expertise, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work independently while supporting and mentoring others. Your experience will allow you to identify design challenges, coordinate effectively across multiple disciplines, and drive quality outcomes on complex projects.

To be successful, you will have:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Modeller within the Building Services industry. 

• Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. 

• Strong understanding of mechanical building services systems and documentation requirements. 

• Experience developing and coordinating 3D BIM models on multidisciplinary projects. 

• Knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC requirements, and BIM workflows. 

• A demonstrated ability to identify and resolve design clashes and spatial coordination issues. 

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. 

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. 

• The ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to a positive team culture. 

• Relevant engineering, design, or drafting qualifications, with several years of industry experience.
