Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Power Products)  

OUR ROLE 

Do you enjoy turning product ideas into practical, cost-effective manufacturing solutions? We are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to help shape how new power products move from design to production. You will work with product development teams and manufacturing partners to improve manufacturability, cost, quality, and performance, while helping us develop a reliable global supply network.

This position is based in Shanghai, China, within our Global Supply Chain function and requires readiness to travel to Ningbo and other locations as needed. The role reports to the Director, Manufacturing Engineering and is a full-time position operating under a hybrid working model. It has a global scope and involves approximately 20-30% travel, primarily to supplier locations across Asia and occasionally to other regions, depending on project needs.

WHAT YOU’LL DO AT FISKARS  

You will connect product development, sourcing, quality, factories, and external suppliers to support effective industrialization. Your responsibilities will include:  

• Guide Design for Manufacturing and Design to Cost activities in new product development projects.  

• Translate product and business needs into practical manufacturing technology solutions with internal teams and suppliers.  

• Coordinate the transition of new products from design to manufacturing, with attention to cost, quality, performance and capital investment.  

• Provide technical input during supplier selection, validation and commercial discussions related to industrialization.  

• Develop tooling and manufacturing supplier capabilities to support current projects and future product needs.  

• Bring together the right internal and external engineering expertise for each project.  

• Apply structured problem-solving to address manufacturing, product quality and performance challenges.  

• Build and share knowledge of manufacturing methods, technologies and supplier capabilities across the global network.  

WHO YOU ARE  

You bring practical engineering knowledge, curiosity and a collaborative approach. You communicate clearly across cultures and functions, use facts to solve problems and look for thoughtful ways to improve how work gets done.  

• A bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering, mechatronics or a related engineering field, or equivalent relevant experience.  

• At least five years of relevant engineering experience in manufacturing, industrialization, supplier development or new product development.  

• Experience with 3D modelling and a relevant computer-aided design tool.  

• Knowledge of manufacturing technologies such as blanking, grinding and injection moulding.  

• An understanding of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.  

• Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders in an international environment.  

• Professional working proficiency in English and Chinese.  

• Willingness and flexibility to travel approximately 20-30% depending on project needs.
