About the role

The Senior Manager Risk & Reporting provides risk management, and controls support to the Leadership Team across Operating Unit Finance Hubs, covering Finance processes as well as Operating Unit risks managed by the Finance Hubs.

The role is responsible for strengthening the control environment through proactive risk assessment, effective risk mitigation, root cause analysis, remediation of process and control deficiencies, and clear reporting on the overall status of risks and controls. You will partner closely with Finance process organisations, Hub Leadership, Market Finance Directors and other key stakeholders to ensure risks are appropriately identified and mitigated through a sound and effective control framework. You will also support local and global process improvements, continuous improvement initiatives and operating effectiveness programmes to reduce risk and improve efficiency.

The role will oversee local and global Financial Risk Management & Controls (FRMC) activities and In-Country Shared Service Centres (ICSS), while helping build a culture of proactive risk management and strong business partnering across the region.

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead risk management and controls activities for the Operating Units (OU) and GFS, including ICSS
• Review outcomes of controls testing activities performed by third parties and provide clear reporting on control effectiveness and identified deficiencies
• Review process risk assessments and provide appropriate risk and control insights to management
• Provide risk management assessments, including root cause analysis, for operational issues and support operations teams in developing and implementing effective remediation actions
• Assess Finance processes and control frameworks and proactively identify opportunities to strengthen controls and mitigate emerging risks.
• Develop and execute the Annual Risk Plan, covering controls monitoring as well as risk-based ad hoc process assessments and reviews
• Perform annual risk assessments of OU Finance operations and relevant markets
• Lead and support OU and Hub process continuous improvement programmes for the Finance Hub and FRMC teams to reduce risk and improve efficiency, leveraging technology such as robotics, AI and other digital tools
• Ensure adequate oversight of third-party service providers, including Genpact, across global processes and locations through appropriate monitoring and testing plans
• Partner with Hub Leads and Market Finance Directors to ensure appropriate risk mitigation actions are implemented and stakeholders understand and commit to resolving risk and control deficiencies across relevant processes
• Partner with OU process organisations to ensure proposed solutions appropriately mitigate identified risks and support implementation of key control initiatives associated with corporate policies
• Support and engage with external auditors and other relevant parties to minimise business disruption, increase reliance on the control environment and align on assessments of Finance controls for SOX reporting purposes
• Provide risk management support for Enterprise Risk Management activities at the Finance Hub and global process tower level.
• Drive compliance with enterprise risk requirements and implementation of risk mitigation initiatives across the Hub and/or global process towers
• Provide regular reporting and insights to senior stakeholders on the overall status and effectiveness of the regional Finance control environment.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

• Professional Accounting or Auditing qualification such as CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIA or equivalent
• Minimum of 8 years post-qualification experience within internal audit, external audit, SOX compliance programmes, risk management or a related controls environment
• At least 5 years’ experience in project management, business continuity planning, crisis management, disaster recovery, enterprise risk management or related disciplines within a large, complex and geographically diverse organisation
• Strong understanding of Finance risk management, internal controls, process risk assessment and control remediation
• Experience working with SOX compliance programmes and assessing the effectiveness of Finance control environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with experience conducting root cause analysis and translating findings into practical remediation actions
• Demonstrated ability to manage complexity and uncertainty within a changing business environment
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working within a regional or global Finance Hub, Shared Services or Global Business Services environment.
• Experience overseeing third-party service providers and outsourced Finance processes.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence Hub Leadership, Market Finance teams and cross-functional partners.
• Demonstrated ability to work across organisational and geographical boundaries and build effective partnerships across different teams and functions.
• Understanding of change management and experience supporting process transformation or continuous improvement programmes.
• Experience leveraging technology, automation, robotics or AI to improve controls, reduce risk and enhance process efficiency.
• Strong awareness of operational and enterprise risks, with the ability to identify issues that could escalate into significant business or operational events.
• Proactive, analytical and solutions-oriented approach with a strong focus on building sustainable risk and control frameworks.
