Who You Are

You are a creative strategist at heart — someone who believes that great marketing starts with a great idea and that a portfolio of brands, when orchestrated with intention, is greater than the sum of its parts. You bring equal parts left-brain rigor and right-brain imagination. You've built things from scratch, led agencies to do their best work, and know how to sell a vision to a room full of executives. You're energized by the challenge of making multiple brands sing in harmony without losing what makes each one unique. You are ready to step into a Director-level environment and make an outsized impact for all stakeholders you manage daily.

What you will bring

Portfolio Marketing Strategy

  • Develop strategic frameworks that articulate how brands within the portfolio complement, reinforce, and amplify one another in market
  • Identify white-space opportunities for cross-brand storytelling, co-marketing moments, and portfolio-level campaigns that drive enterprise value
  • Translate business objectives into clear, compelling creative briefs and marketing plans that ladder up to portfolio-level goals as well as strong data, engagement and commercial KPI’s.
  • Serve as the strategic voice that ensures brand consistency while championing creative risk-taking across the portfolio, whilst leveraging some of the biggest partnerships in the industry.
  • Sales & Customer Alignment key with Shopper Marketing, Category Development, and omni-channel as well as loyalty & CRM Integration

Creative Leadership & Excellence

  • Elevate the creative standard across all portfolio marketing initiatives — from concept through execution
  • Build and maintain a best-in-class creative toolkit including brand guidelines, asset libraries, templates, and playbooks that empower teams to produce exceptional work at scale
  • Lead concept creation and creative ideation for portfolio-level campaigns, bringing big ideas from napkin sketch to market
  • Own the agency ecosystem — from selection and onboarding to ongoing management and performance evaluation of creative, media, and production partners
  • Champion a culture of creative excellence, pushing teams and partners to deliver breakthrough work that moves consumers and drives brand love
  • Stay ahead of cultural trends, design movements, and emerging creative formats to keep our brands at the forefront of consumer attention

  • Own the partnerships strategy across the portfolio, identifying and cultivating relationships with strategic partners that amplify brand reach, relevance, and resonance
  • Lead large-scale contractor and partner negotiations, ensuring favorable terms while building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships
  • Evaluate partnership opportunities through both a creative and commercial lens — ensuring every collaboration enhances brand equity and delivers measurable ROI
  • Manage partnership budgets and oversee financial planning for all contracted work, ensuring fiscal responsibility without compromising creative ambition

Leadership & Influence

  • Influence and align senior leadership on portfolio marketing priorities, investment decisions, and creative direction
  • Develop and manage annual and quarterly budget forecasts, partnering with Finance to ensure alignment with broader business planning
  • Operate as a near-Director-level leader — demonstrating executive presence, strategic judgment, and the ability to navigate ambiguity with confidence

Qualifications

  • 8–12 years of experience in brand marketing, creative strategy, or portfolio/integrated marketing within CPG or a related consumer-facing industry
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or advanced degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
  • Proven creative background — whether from agency-side, in-house brand, or a hybrid path — with a portfolio of work that demonstrates bold, consumer-centric thinking
  • Deep experience developing and executing portfolio or multi-brand marketing strategies
  • Track record of leading agency relationships, including selection, briefing, and performance management
  • Experience managing large budgets ($5M+) and negotiating complex contracts with agencies, media partners, and/or brand collaborators
  • Strong strategic thinking paired with hands-on creative instincts — equally comfortable in a boardroom presentation and a brainstorm session
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in a matrixed CPG organization with multiple brands and categories
  • Background in creative direction, art direction, or copywriting earlier in career
  • Familiarity with shopper marketing, retail media, or omnichannel activation
  • Experience building creative toolkits, brand systems, or design-led frameworks from the ground up
