Role Overview
The Senior Manager, Learning & Development will support the design, implementation, and continuous evolution of Immatics' Commercial Learning Strategy in preparation for launch readiness spanning Immatics’ PRAME-directed TCR T-cell therapy and pipeline. This individual will be responsible for building and sustaining a comprehensive onboarding, field readiness, certification, and ongoing capability development program for the Commercial organization. The role will partner closely with Commercial Leadership, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Operations, Regulatory, Legal, and Human Resources to ensure field teams possess the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to effectively and compliantly engage treatment centers, healthcare professionals, payer stakeholders, and other customers.
As Immatics prepares for its first commercial launch, the Senior Manager, Learning & Development will establish the foundational learning infrastructure, processes, curriculum, and measurement systems required to accelerate new hire productivity, support launch excellence, and drive long-term field effectiveness.
Reports to: Senior Director, Medical Communication and Training
Location: US Remote
Salary Range: $165,000 - $180,000
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
7 years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or specialty therapeutics experience.
4 years of experience in commercial training, learning and development, sales training, field readiness, or related functions.
Cell therapy experience: knowledge of TCR T-cell therapies, adoptive cellular therapies, or advanced therapeutics
Demonstrated experience building and delivering onboarding and capability development programs for customer-facing teams.
Experience supporting product launch preparation and execution.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree preferred.
Oncology experience strongly preferred.
Experience supporting treatment center onboarding, market access preferred.
Experience developing certification programs, learning analytics, and field readiness frameworks.
Familiarity with learning management systems and digital learning platforms.
Experience supporting first-launch organizations or emerging biotechnology companies.
In this role you will:
Design, implement, and drive training and onboarding programs for Commercial teams, with a focus on field-based teams, covering disease state education, product knowledge, and competitive landscape to enable field readiness.
Prepare field teams for external scientific exchange on product, disease state, and cell therapy education
Enable launch readiness by creating and driving training programs on Immatics’ pipeline and PRAME as a tumor antigen target.
Evolve ongoing training materials to reinforce knowledge and update teams on new data.
Ensure training and development programs adhere to all regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
Leverage adult learning principles and innovative digital platforms to create engaging, effective training programs.
Review and report metrics and feedback systems to evaluate training effectiveness and continuously adapt based on insights and field performance.
Maintain a central repository of training materials and scientific resources to ensure version control, consistency, and global accessibility.
Identify training gaps and field needs through insight gathering and feedback loops; translate gaps and needs into actionable solutions.
Partner with cross-functional partners to ensure alignment of training and tools with corporate strategy.
Manage vendor partnerships supporting training platforms, content development, and delivery systems to ensure quality and operational excellence.
